Think positive - Tip 3: Take responsibility and get out of the victim role

"I'm always unlucky!", "It's always like that with me!", "It just should not be that way", "I'm just the way I am". You rarely hear quotes of this kind from people who think positively and are satisfied with their lives.

Why? Because such statements imply that you yourself have no power over things and are simply victims of the circumstances. Nice, if you can talk it out and explain why something did not work out or you did not do something.

The question you should ask yourself is this: "Would I like to look back in 5, 10, 20 or 30 years and realize that I was always unhappy? Will it help me in any way if I can blame it on other people, on the circumstances, etc.? "

My answer is clearly "NO!". You do not become happier or more content just because you tell yourself and others that you are not responsible for this. YOU are in the position to shape and change your situation.

If you feel uncomfortable too often, find the cause and work on it. Maybe you just have to sleep more, eat something healthier or something like that. Maybe you have to separate yourself from your partner or not meet certain friends when they get in the way of your luck.

Realize that it is about your life and you (most likely) have only one of them.

Do not think "Then it's just like this" or "I have to live with it", but think "I can change it", "It's in my hands" and "I want to have a more positive life and think positively!".

Think Positive - Tip # 4: Be aware of what's good about your life

Thinking positive is not rocket science, the simplest tips can really bring you forward. How exactly you implement this tip is up to you.

Maybe it will be enough if you tell yourself 5 things every morning that you can be happy about. Or maybe you have to paint the list with a sun and a laughing flower and hang them in a place where you see them every day (preferably several times).

It is important that you choose things that really make you happy or satisfied (such as contentment and happiness, you can read here).

Probably it will not be your salary, which makes you really happy inside (money alone can not make you happy).

Even if your partner is leaving you right now, you are having trouble with your family and your job is on the loose - find the things that are still good:

- Your pet is always a loyal friend

- You have friends who always support you

- You are healthy and can do sports

- etc.

Realize that there are good things in your life. But be aware that only YOU can work to increase the proportion of these things. You can not eradicate all negative things, but you can do more positive things and think more positively, to be happier overall.

Think Positive - Tip 5: You do not have to be perfect - but learn from your mistakes

It does not help you if you think about past mistakes and get annoyed with them. Thinking positively means constructively dealing with one's own mistakes and not acting in the same way again in the future.

Just knowing that you've made a mistake should put a smile on your face. Because you have made an experience more and can better master similar situations in the future.

So do not worry about yourself but think positively: YOU do not have to be perfect, neither in the past nor in the future. You will see that as you realize that you are capable of bringing about change, you gain power over your life and become happier.
