That's a secret I learned quite recently.
I knew it more precisely, but I didn't realize it and didn't use it.
I learned the secret from sports!
And I am writing this article right now, because on Sunday I clearly saw what happened to me and my body when I applied the secret the other way around.
So, my tennis coach always said to me, "be relaxed", "do this exercise relaxed", "relax".
When I first started, I did not understand why I need to relax, because I need to show the result! I need to break the record! I need to be faster! But the more I worked hard, the further from my record.
After physical training, I came home as a squeezed lemon, tired, upset and could not do anything until the evening: the body refused to move, and the mind to think.
Once we were running 20m. at speed. The first two times, I got tense as usual and showed a mediocre result. Coach told me: "Relax!
I decided to follow his advice. And as soon as I did, I showed the result two tenths of a second faster! Hmm... the paradox
I've decided to try again. I relaxed and ran. My body rushed to the finish line with such ease and speed! This time I broke my record!
My mind was in shock! His model did not work hard. On the other hand, the relaxation led to the long-awaited results.
This Sunday I took part in a tennis tournament! Of course, there was a desire to at least enter the top ten (I was adequately assessing my chances). Yes, the desire was strong!
But when I got to the first game, I noticed that I was showing a much worse game than I could. Anyway, I won my first game.
The second game was played with a very strong opponent. Naturally, I lost. The third game I won at first and everything was fine. I was calm. But, suddenly, at some point I VERY wanted to win and how do you think what happened? The body got tense and more restrained. The kicks were slow and I moved much slower. Of course, I began to lose the ball after the ball. And the more I lost, the more I wanted to win and the worse I played. So as a result, I lost again.
I lost the match, but I won in life. I learned a key lesson!
I took 12th place out of 24. I am glad. But most of all, I am glad of the life experience I have had!
Why am I telling you this story?
Perhaps you are not interested in sports at all.
I have long understood that the same rules apply in sport and in life. Only in sports everything happens very quickly!
In one game, which lasted less than an hour, I learned what I usually learn in life in a month or even six months.
Everything in life is the same: the more you want, the more you strain yourself. The more you strain yourself, the worse things work out. And the worse things work out, the more you want! And the worse things work out. In life you lose as well as in sports. It's just that in sports the result is obvious, but in life it's not. And it complicates the learning process.
And now one of the secrets of happiness: to be happy you need to be relaxed.
And as you have already understood, in a relaxed state the results are much better than in a tense state!
But, there is a subtle nuance here. Yes, there is a category of people who do not strain at all, do not think about anything and of course, do not achieve anything in life. I'm not talking about that.
In order to achieve results, there must be a goal!
And this goal should be pursued in a relaxed way! This is the secret!
Most people are disappointed in their goals! That's because they strain themselves and the universe so much that they can't do anything and they throw away their goals forever.
The more you strain yourself, the less you are happy and the less you can do in life.
Be sure to dream! Be sure to set goals and go to these goals! But be relaxed.
A relaxed man is open to the flow of the universe! He has a good mood. He is positive, full of strength and energy. He is flexible. He flies through life to his goals. He is happy.
Why do drunk people almost never hurt themselves when they fall (and they fall often)? They are completely relaxed.
The more we worry, the more we get sick.
