To plant the anthem

The hymn requires well-drained loam because it hates heavy and excessively damp soil. On the other hand, he particularly appreciates the humus-rich soil. Whether you put it in the ground or in a pot, you can mix the compost with the compost. This will provide the necessary minerals and ensure beautiful flowering.

Remember to water this well after installation until you see a restoration; then you can reduce the watering speed.

To fill the soil, try to mix it with one-third of the river sand to ensure good drainage.

Maintain the anthem

For your anthem to thrive in the best conditions, think about putting it in the sun. A hymn planted in the shade will hold much less than a hymn in the sun.

The anthem is a very florid plant that particularly attracts butterflies; if the conditions are optimal, you can have flowers from May to October. To encourage flowering, remember to cut off dried flowers regularly. It is said that cutting the anthem flower gives three buttons after that.

From the beginning of March, fold the stems to form a very dense ball. The anthem is a frosty plant, so it won't keep the temperature down, except for some varieties like Chelsea, which are quite simple.

If you've put it in pots, don't hesitate to put it in a cool and lightroom in winter. If you are planted in the ground, be sure to mulch your plant to protect its roots. It is also important to note that a hymn planted in heavy soil can withstand the cold.

Multiply the anthem

Cuttings are the easiest way to reproduce. It will be on a herbaceous stem in spring or on a tree stem in summer.

Cutting on a tree stem

Cut out a branch of your hymn with a few leaves.

Remove the leaves from the branch to prevent the cuttings from slowing down.

Put the cuttings in the ground and water them abundantly until new leaves appear. Then you can place the watering.

Aster plant

In the asters, as fresh, well-drained land, consider planting in the ground, mixed with one third of the river sand. They also like humus, so you can add compost to the planting soil.

Don't forget to plant plants at a distance of 30 to 60 cm from each other, depending on the variety, so as not to create too much moisture between the plantations.

Maintain the asters

Asters are easy to maintain, they require good sunlight for good flowering and always damp soil in spring and summer. Astra is an extremely enduring plant, capable of withstanding temperatures down to -30°C.

To keep the roots cool and the soil moist, you can mulch the roots. However, be careful not to wet the foliage during watering, because the asters are afraid of mealy dew attacks that occur in the wetlands.

At the end of flowering, you can trim your asterisk, leaving only 10 cm of stem. The shorter you cut, the denser it gets over the years.

Don't forget to cut the dried flowers to stimulate the flowering of the next ones. You can also add organic fertilizer to those you planted in pots from May to September.

Some varieties grow pretty high and will need to be put on the map to keep a good grip without sinking the stems.

Multiply the asters

The easiest way to multiply your asters is to separate the beams. Astra tends to thicken quickly, separating them will allow them to ventilate their flowers and thus allow them to grow better.

It is also possible to cut on a herbaceous stem, just cut one of the stems, cover it and plant it in well-drained potting soil.
