Collectorless motor Big Block
A powerful engine is key to outstanding speed performance. The Big Block was developed by Castle Creations engineers specifically for the XO-1! The rotor is ideally balanced at the factory, the aluminum housing with fins effectively dissipates heat, neodymium magnets retain their properties at maximum temperatures. High-quality rolling bearings are designed for long-term operation at maximum speed. The Big Block is the largest and most powerful electric motor ever to be used on a Traxxas model with Ready To Race!
Mamba Monster Extreme speed regulator
For a model with a speed of up to 160 km/h, the speed regulator is one of the most important components. The Castle Creations specialists have developed the well-proven Mamba Monster specifically for installation on XO-1. High efficiency when working with a six-tank Li-PO battery and more efficient cooling is the main features of Mamba Monster Extreme.
Radio control system
The kit includes Traxxas TQi radio equipment. The operating frequency of 2.4 GHz, modern data transmission protocol and Fail-Safe function provide high-quality signal and protection against interference. The kit includes a docking station that allows you to program the equipment using iPhone/iPod touch and display telemetry readings.

By installing Traxxas Link, available on the App Store, your iPhone/iPod touch becomes a convenient and practical tool for setting up radio control equipment. All parameters such as endpoint setting, telemetry data, ABS and more are displayed on your mobile device, programming is simple and intuitive, and settings can be saved for an almost unlimited number of models.
Telemetry functions
Model feedback provides information on model speed, engine speed, temperature, and battery voltage. All data is clearly displayed on the iPhone/iPod touch screen. It is possible to save and view telemetry tracks.
PTO shaft center
Made of high-strength anodized aluminum. It combines incredible lightness and resistance to high torsional loads. The elegance of a successful technical solution is underlined by the excellent blue anodizing and Traxxas logo.
The optimal choice of scale
The XO-1 is about 20% larger than the 1/8 model and 15% smaller than the 5th scale car. This size is ideal for track racing on the 8th scale - no need to look for special tracks.
Specially designed Cush Drive transmission
The model uses a specially designed and patented Cush Drive transmission. The high-strength idler pinion is filled with an elastic material that perfectly absorbs any sudden loads. This solution increases efficiency and significantly reduces gear wear. The transmission is designed as a single unit with a rear differential, which minimizes power loss and simplifies operation.
Main chassis plate
Made of durable and lightweight aluminum alloy 3 mm thick, anodized in blue. All parts and electronic devices are securely protected and can be easily removed for cleaning and maintenance.
Two front spoiler variants included
The standard spoiler allows the model to be operated efficiently on standard routes. Have you found a perfectly flat surface and want to experience the maximum performance of the Xo-1? Install the included optional spoiler, and the increased downforce will keep the model on the track when cornering at maximum speed!
Specially designed racing tires
The tires installed on the XO-1 are specially designed to operate at speeds of more than 100 km/h. Hard tires in combination with elastic filler have a longer service life and do not stretch even at maximum speed!
Adjustable battery compartment
The battery compartment is adjustable in length and height for convenient and secure placement of a wide range of batteries. The rear wall has two mounting positions - 135 and 155 mm. The battery lock is set in positions 23, 25, 38 and 43 mm.
Aerodynamic elements of the chassis
At 160 km/h, any gaps between the chassis and the body increase the drag. However, Traxxas has also taken this into account - the main plate is fitted with specially designed composite aerodynamic claddings.
Aluminum motor
High-strength motor, made of lightweight aluminum alloy. Specially designed for the installation of a collectorless motor, with a large margin withstands the highest torque when starting jerk.
Aluminum hubs and swiveling cams
Rotating fists and hubs are made of light aluminum alloy, anodized in blue. The use of metal parts increases resistance to operating loads, and the steering becomes more precise, which is especially important for high-speed models.
The digital waterproof steering servo
A fast and precise digital servo machine is used. Like all Traxxas electronics components, it is protected against water and dust. The metal gearbox allows the machine to withstand high impact loads.
Steering system
The geometry of the steering system and the cam-type servo-saver are specially designed to avoid damage to the servo machine in case of accidents. The outstanding reliability is achieved without compromising the unique handling characteristics.

Rubber bearing inserts minimize friction and provide reliable protection against dirt and water ingress.
