Dr. Gregory House is the protagonist of the American television series Dr. House
Gregory House is a brilliant doctor and head of the diagnostic department at Princeton-Plainsboro Clinic.
House is involved in medical investigations and is interested in extremely complex cases. House is irritated by his routine work at the clinic with a series of trivial simple diagnoses, and only another investigation can dispel his boredom. At the same time, he is pathologically unwilling to meet with patients. He is very cynical about people, and constantly strikes patients with his eccentric and witty manner of communication, cynicism, and sharpness of statements, as well as a complete disregard for the rules of a good tune. But House, it would seem, paying little attention to his patients, can surprise anyone with a quick and accurate diagnosis not only of the disease but also of the circumstances of his personal life.
