The games of the kitten are associated with the hunting instinct, so toys suitable for the animal in their appearance and size resemble prey. These can be soft toys in the shape of mice, balls, as well as wrinkled paper and empty spools of thread. The kitten will be happy to drive these items around the apartment both in the absence of the owner, and with his participation.

Toys are also necessary because otherwise the animal itself will find objects for fun, and there is no guarantee that it will not turn out to be your favorite things or even objects that could harm its health.

Usually cats like to climb trees and easily go down. Also, an animal can jump onto a tree in case of danger, for example, if a dog has chased it.

Sometimes a cat, finding himself in a tree, for some reason can not go down. Perhaps the animal is under stress or injured. But a cat can stay on a tree simply because she wants to be alone. Of course, this does not apply to cases when the animal is on the tree all day.

If the cat climbed a tree and does not want to go down, you can try to lure it with food. A bowl of food is placed in such a way that the animal sees it well. When a cat gets hungry, she will go down herself.

If it becomes clear that the cat will not go down, you will have to try to remove it. Before this, it is advisable to wear durable, reliable protective clothing and gloves, as an animal under stress can release its claws or begin to bite. The animal should be taken after the scruff, and it is advisable to grab the cat immediately so that it does not have time to climb even higher. If this fails, and the animal is on the tree for a long time, you need to contact the rescue service.

If the cat has chosen one tree, which she climbs every now and then, you can build a ladder to facilitate the animal's ascent and descent.

If for some reason it is desirable to wean the animal to climb this tree, you can either surround it with a fence or hang a cracker on the tree, which, when the cat approaches, will make a sharp and loud sound. Most likely, this will scare the animal away from the tree for a long time.

Cats are very clean, already at 3 weeks of age they begin to lick their hair on their own. However, this does not mean that you do not need to care for your pet.

Cat brush and comb

You need to regularly clean your ears, rinse your eyes, trim your nails and comb your cat's hair. The latter procedure is of great importance for long-haired breeds, as their hair is easily tangled, and to maintain its appearance in perfect condition, you need to devote a lot of time to the animal.

Long-haired kittens need to be combed daily, animals with an average length of hair - as needed. To do this, you need to have a set of combs and a brush, which will be in the individual use of the cat. Do not use the same tools for caring for the animal as for yourself.

It is recommended to carry out hygienic procedures immediately before feeding the kitten, in order to thus consolidate in his mind the positive emotions that the animal will associate with him.

Combing your cat’s hair should be done carefully, avoiding any sudden movements that may hurt the animal. If the hairs are tangled, they must be carefully untangled, for which you can use a blunt knitting needle. Combed in the direction from head to tail, first with a rare comb, then more frequent. Finish the procedure by combing the hair with a massage brush. This finally straightens the hair of the animal and stimulates subcutaneous blood circulation.

When combing wool, you can use baby powder or special powder, which absorbs excess fat.

Bathing cats is not recommended. Firstly, most of them are extremely negative about this. procedure, and secondly, washing off the fat layer from the skin and coat can adversely affect the cat’s health.

If there is severe pollution, in a pinch you can still bathe a cat. To do this, warm water is poured into a basin or sink. They take the animal by the scruff of the neck, carefully moisten the coat with water and apply a special shampoo, which then needs to be thoroughly washed off so that the animal does not lick it. You should not wet your head, and put cotton swabs in your ears before bathing so that water does not get into them.

After bathing, the animal needs to be wiped with a clean towel (the cat should have its own, too, in no case should you use the same thing for yourself and for her). You can dry the hair with a hairdryer, but it can not be brought to the animal very close, as hot air can damage the skin and coat. However, cats are very afraid of the noise that a working hair dryer makes, so the animal must be held tight so that it does not run away.
