Most needles of thick leafy plants are very good cleaners, especially for damp air in winter. They absorb carbon dioxide and exhale oxygen. Rosemary is no exception. Rosemary releases essential oils into the air, so it has a beneficial effect on the human nervous system, and therefore there is no need to constantly brew tea from it. Just breathe in the aroma of this plant.

Lavender

Lavender can cause allergies, so you should first check if you are allergic and only then put the plant in the room.

Lavender has several advantages:

  • It repels insects,
  • the scent relaxes and helps you fall asleep,
  • the scent helps to relax if you're suffering from anxiety.

Of course, you can install an aroma lamp, but the candle will burn all night and it is not quite safe. A beautiful flower will not only decorate the interior of your apartment but will be much more effective than an aroma lamp. Lavender is very fond of sunlight, so it should be placed on a window sill. At the end of autumn, sunlight will not be enough, so you can collect seeds when the plant fades and plant them again in early spring. For planting, it is better to choose sandy soil and not too rich in fertilizer. Keep lavender seeds in a tightly closed jar.

Basilic

Basilic is one of the most famous herbs for spices. Basilic grows in Asia and North Africa, but can easily grow in any climatic conditions and at home. It grows about 30-60 cm high with small white flowers and wide leaves. The fruits are small - 4 nut seeds, which can be dried in autumn and sown again in spring. The rich aroma and pleasant peppery taste is only one side of the coin of the basil. It can be used as herbal tea. But it is also a good purifier of indoor carbon dioxide.

Peppermint

The best herbal tea you can drink throughout the winter. The best plant for indoor planting. There are many subspecies that are also called mint. These plants can be used in recipes of absolutely different dishes, both for meat and vegetable, and dessert. It has a very pleasant and persistent flavor.

Useful properties of mint:

  • If you have a lung problem, peppermint oils help to eliminate them
  • Mint has a delightful aroma
  • The scent of mint attracts small wasps that can kill other parasites
  • Mint is used to make soothing tea and as spices for various dishes.
  • Mint is very fond of sunshine and water and is very easy to grow

You can cut off one branch of mint and put it in the water. In a week it will take root. This plant can grow almost everywhere. Peppermint has a strong enough root system and when planted in the garden, it grows quickly, "strangling" other plants. Even mint should not be planted in a pot with other plants.

Jasmine

Jasmine opens her flowers between 6 and 8 pm when the temperature drops. It has a delightful aroma, especially when it is in the kitchen. The aroma of jasmine tea is also very pleasant. Just put a few petals in a cup and pour boiling water, wait 10 minutes and enjoy!

In China and India, jasmine is mixed with green tea leaves as it does not absorb the scent of jasmine itself.

Jasmine cleans the indoor air very well. This is not an expensive and effective way to clean the air, besides it is very pleasant.

Geranium

Geranium has over 200 species.

  1. Excellent aroma, which you will surely like
  2. Scares off mosquitoes.
  3. Resistant to pests and diseases
  4. It looks amazing when it blooms.
  5. Cleaning the air.

Easy to reproduce. It is enough to pluck off a twig and put it in a glass of water and a week later it will take root.

It doesn't require much care. Geranium can live without water for 2 weeks and on cold days.

The more sun, the more it blooms.
