Skincare in the fall: How to help the bodywith the onset of cold weather

Trend-ANALYTICS Still in Janvar in 2019, the year of body care. If before we often forgot that the skin does not end up below the neck, the general fashion of awareness involves taking care of yourself from head to toe. And even trivial things like showering and the following stages have turned out to require attention. We find out how to protect the skin in the coming difficult season.
Shower and bath
When it's cold, the body often asks for a very hot shower - but, as experts warn, it dries out the skin. Ideally, the shower should be contrasting and the main part of the time you spend in the water should be under warm jets. If your skin is dry, it's best to switch to a mild detergent (e.g. shower oil), and if you want to use a foamy, fragrant gel, then use a minimum of it.

Shower and bath
When it's cold, the body often asks for a very hot shower - but, as experts warn, it dries out the skin. Ideally, the shower should be contrasting and the main part of the time you spend in the water should be under warm jets. A warm bath is not only considered a great way to relax but also, as some experts say, health benefits: it improves blood circulation, relieves muscle fatigue, helps relieve the symptoms of an impending cold and promotes healthy sleep. It is good to add a moisturizer to the bath, such as an oil-based bomb. But again, the water shouldn't be too hot - just warm.

Exfoliation
Just like the face skin, the body skin needs regular exfoliation - and it needs to be tougher and more energetic than the face. The frequency of exfoliation should be selected individually, but dermatologists usually recommend two to three times a week (less often with sensitive skin). Acidicides that are washed away and not yet often appear on the market, especially in Russian - but they are still there, though they cost, of course, much more expensive than the classic scrubs.

The rules here are the same as with facial skin: salicylic acid has a good effect on acne and inflammation (many often they are on the back or in the décolleté zone), and fruit acids gently exfoliate normal and dry skin. If you prefer scrub, you can evaluate its power by its composition. Those containing microplastics usually exfoliate well, but for environmental reasons they are slowly becoming a thing of the past - now the polishing particles are usually salt, sugar, crushed nutshells, coffee or fruit bones. Salt scrubs are the toughest, the rest are usually medium and soft. The scrubs often supplement the oils so that they do not scratch the skin and nourish it so much that you can skip the moisturizing cream.

Moisturizing
Many of us can't apply cream after showering: in the evening we are very tired, and in the morning we have to get dressed urgently, there is no time for it and at all. However, moisturizing is desirable - especially if you use not oil-based products for showers, but classical ones with sulfate content. There are two ways out. The first is to use percussion nutrients, the effect of which will be enough for a couple of days (although, of course, everything is individual, and the needs of the skin are different). The second is psychological: to perceive the procedure of applying the cream as an element of self-care, an opportunity to be alone with yourself and make your body pleasant. It sounds funny and somewhat esoteric, but works.

Arms and legs
For example, with feet suffering from autumn shoes and temperature changes, everything is simple - just regularly exfoliate the heels and use a nourishing cream before bedtime. Hands are more difficult: their thin skin is most often suffering in the cold season, especially given that with the advent of smartphones, many people have forgotten how to wear gloves. Conscious citizens carry hand creams in their handbags and keep them in a visible place near the computer - so as not to forget because the universal advice is still the desire to moisturize the skin after each wash. If you can't do it, you should at least remember to use the cream at night. For best results, it is recommended to wear cotton gloves after applying the cream - this is the best way to absorb the cream - and sometimes use a mild scrub.
