What is fishing and how is it practiced?

  • Feeder fishing is a type of bottom fishing practiced in river waters, which uses a bait or feeder, either the typical home dock, cage, method and other types that we will discuss later, the bait will fill it with good, this we can go home with a little feed and some cereal we have at home as cookie, sponge cake, and so on. The truth is one of the most successful techniques for carp fishing, and more and more fishermen are encouraged to do, from the banks of rivers and reservoirs. This technique, sometimes in a company or as a complement to the English or Bolognese fishing among others, is very closely linked to Carpfishing, in fact, every day new followers of this technique are being created, seeing the good results it offers us.

Factors that influence success in fishing by feeder

  • Fishing in a reservoir at the feeder has a good start in this technique of sport fishing, it is essential to know which are the factors that will determine the success or failure when we get ready to throw the rod using the fundamentals of the feeder, it is for this reason that knowing the most influential factors and conditioning factors that can affect us during our fishing day, will give us a plus before what we can find and thus, to be able to solve in each case, the problems that fishing presents to us at every moment.

Necessary equipment for the fishing to the feeder in river

  • To carry out this type of fishing, some light materials will be necessary, those that allow us to play with the rod and the bait, as we have commented, the technique of the feeder is based on the bottom fishing, in this occasion using a bait as main differential piece, for this reason to know more about the bottom fishing will also give us greater vision on which we can apply when carrying out this technique.

Rod to feeder

  • A rod equipped with two or more tips, marked by their action, usually each tip is designed to throw a certain grammage, the softest is usually used for fishing small specimens, and with a strong prop, you will hardly notice the pull.

Fishing reel

  • The reel we will try to use that does not have too much collection, since the lines or threads that we will use frequently will be of reduced diameter, since what we look for in the fast fishing, and as we all know, the thinnest diameters are less visible.

Lines and threads

  • For lines it is advisable to use low fluorocarbon that is between 0.16 and 0.19 mm in diameter, the thread of the reel will be between 0.23 and 0.26 millimeters. For the more experienced use self-bonding threads, as they sink and the line is not on the surface, which gives us a greater tension and thus better notice the bites, in currents we can also use braided lines, which are stronger and allow us to drastically lower their diameter, a 0.06 or 0.08 mm, but I do not recommend them for beginners, as their abrasion resistance is also lower, and we may have many breaks.

Fishing hooks

  • The hooks that we will use will depend on the bait and type of fish that we fish, for me, the ideal is between nº 10 and nº 16, although we will also be able to raise to a number 18 if the bait is the typical ascot and the fishing is very hard.

Baiters

  • Tipos sobadores Pesca al feederFinally we will talk about the sobadores, the cage type is clam-shaped sobadores, in which we will compact the good with the help of a mold. The good thing about these baiters is that the bait is inside it and the bait, when opened will leave the bait very close to the bait as they are used low between 5 and 12 cm.

  • We have the typical spring primers, the most classic, in these we only take a handful of bait and squeeze it. On the other hand we will have the worm primers, in which we introduce the ascot and as this is equipped with some holes, the worms will go out only little by little and they will be remaining around our hook, and the form to place the primers are already to taste of each one, I leave them sliding in the line without any stop, so when the fish of the pull will not notice the weight of the bait and will eat more confident, the problem of this is that the nailed barely exists, so we will have to be attentive to our rod and when we see the bite, nail it ourselves, and finally we can also put the bait with the typical clip, and thus remain fixed.
