An unusual trip turned out, we have not had this before. The husband apparently picked up the virus back in Moscow. While we got to Sölden, my husband had a temperature of 39˚. I immediately started calling the insurance, we had a policy of "Yugoria". After 10 minutes they called back, gave the address of the doctor.
We went to the clinic. This is a small institution, literally 4 rooms full of equipment to capacity, no shoe covers, trips to rooms. The husband was taken, laid down, immediately put a dropper to remove the fever, did a blood test on an automatic analyzer, instantly. All this in one office, doctors come themselves.
Then they listened, drove to an x-ray. After the X-ray, the doctor said that it was bronchitis and prescribed Augmentin. This whole first appointment took an hour, and it was paid by the insurance. After 3 days, her husband did not feel better, coughing, fever, everything repeated again, but money was already taken from us and a lot of 250 €.
As a result, they missed the antibiotic, bronchitis turned into pneumonia and had to be treated at home for another 3 weeks. The child was more fortunate. He fell ill a day later, went to the same doctor, the procedure was repeated, but in his case the antibiotic worked. In general, at the ski resort, doctors were imprisoned for injury, we were the only ones with the virus, and the rest of the patients were mainly brought with broken limbs. The doctor in the clinic is one for all, he has 3-4 assistants, young guys. staff or young doctors are hard to say.
Most of them speak English well. The general impression of the clinic was very positive, there was little pathos and some sincere desire to help the patient.
What to watch
Aquahouse
To be honest, I was no longer counting on skiing, but on a spa vacation. I thought every day I would go to Aquadu in the afternoon. This is the most famous thermal complex in Austria aqua-dom.at As a result, due to illness, the family escaped there only once. It takes literally 15 minutes to drive from Sölden. The complex impressed my imagination primarily with the choice of baths and saunas.
All you want is Russian, and hamam, and Turkish, and salt, and with herbs. In general, the class. In a special bath complex everyone walks naked; children are not allowed there. The passage to this part of the complex must be paid separately. And in the general part there are different pools with thermal water on the street and under the roof, all with a view of the snow-capped mountains! Pleasure is not the cheapest 25 € entrance ticket to the water part + 11 euro bath.
Munich Zoo
In a week, the child got better on antibiotics, and on our way back on Sunday we went to the Munich Zoo. The park is divided into zones by continent. Animals are well-groomed, in spacious enclosures, there are no giant fences. It was pleasantly struck by the fact that most of the animals in it live in families, groups, prides, packs, in short they do not look lonely and dreary. It’s very funny to watch a colony of pink flamingos that go in formation as if on command.
An elephant calf was born in the zoo not so long ago, we watched it for a walk with his mother. Big monkey. At the zoo you can easily spend the day with the whole family, there are not only a lot of animals. Children can pet and feed dwarf kids, poultry, play in the playground. The day was warm and sunny, so it was nice to walk.
Where to eat
For obvious reasons, it was not a good idea to go to restaurants. In Sölden, I went to SPAR and cooked for my sick men. I found a nice pastry shop with delicious croissants and buns on the main street, almost opposite the Regina Hotel.
Our friends went to the Ice & Fare center bar, where young people gather in the evening, there’s just nowhere to drop an apple, everyone drinks beer and dances. Sölden is really a party place, for the week of our stay there was a concert of Lady Gaga at a nightclub, and on March 8, they arranged a jazz concert at the upper station of the ski lift in the afternoon. I nevertheless escaped there, it was very nice to listen to live music under mulled wine.
To be in Munich and pass by Hofbroy is impossible. We went there on the last day, found places with difficulty, but sat down, it was lunch time. Traditionally they drank beer, ate sausages with cabbage.
