× Chapter 5×
"So what brings you to earth, Charlotte?".. Margaret asked as she sipped her tea in the living room. Charlotte told her the whole story...
-Um... That's interesting...
"What's your connection to the Royal family?".. the question had plagued her for a long time.
- It's such an old and long story... I'll tell it to you one day, but not today... Better come and I'll show you to your room.
It was a small room on the second floor, with a huge window through which the light penetrated. Charlotte thought only that she could arrange a corner on the windowsill with pillows and a blanket, where she would read foreign classics... There wasn't much furniture in the room. Bed, chest of drawers and not a big table with a chair. But this was not enough, Charlotte has presented how it will transform...
-You can change and move everything as you want. I haven't used this room in a while... This is my family's house, and this is my old room. Many memories.. my pictures and photos used to hang here... I wonder where they are now.. must be in the attic.
- Let's hang them again! I'm sure they're beautiful... Charlotte's words made Margaret smile.
"No way... You must create your own... come to my workshop anytime for materials.
"But I can't draw at all.".
- It does not matter, as long as it will reflect your emotions and feelings. You will be able to capture the brightest moments on a photo or drawings. It's priceless...
I'll show you the rest of the house later. In the meantime, take a look around, unpack.. and get ready to go to school tomorrow)
School?
- this is a place where people receive knowledge, think you like. There might be someone you're looking for, and you'll learn more about people... it's better than just wandering around the house. Your uniform is on the door.
- Thank You...Yes. Margaret went out of the room and left Charlotte alone.
-School... Charlotte lay back on the bed and stared at the ceiling. "Need all spell out," thought she.
Though the room was and all that is necessary, but pillows and blanket needed the money. She knew people got them at work. And wondered, maybe she should look? But later... Charlotte had to prepare for tomorrow...
× Chapter 6×
In the morning, Charlotte put on her new uniform. His heart was pounding in his chest, both with fear and delight. Charlotte took a deep breath and went downstairs. Fresh toast and pancakes were waiting for her on the table. There was also a note "for Charlotte." In it, Margaret wrote about how it needs to go for feeds and products, and that likely not setting will return to its awakening. (She was right) she also wished good luck and success in school. As Charlotte finished reading the note, she heard a crash in the backyard... "Thief!? She thought. Taking the rolling pin she went there with a straight face. Closing her eyes against the noise, she felt something warm against her leg. Surprised, she opened her eyes and saw... Cat?
"What are you doing here?".. "it was a red-haired, white-spotted cat with ears as sharp as a squirrel's. Then Charlotte noticed another, and another, and another! It was some kind of invasion of cats, they were all completely different in size, color, and breed. But it was the dog who came around the corner that shocked Charlotte. She did not know what to do with this menagerie, because soon she had to go to school. All this was happening in the backyard of the house and something was moving in the bushes. "To suffer like a thief! Charlotte thought. But ahead popped out, and a pile of leaves stuck out of its hair. It was the blond guy from yesterday. He was as surprised as she was, but he smiled quickly.
"I told you I lived nearby!" Nice to meet you, Thomas. he held out his hand, obviously for a handshake. Charlotte took a moment, then grabbed his hand.
I'm Charlotte! then she hastily released his hand, a little embarrassed. She remembered why she was here and wondered what Thomas was doing here.
- Sorry, maybe it's a little rude, but... What are you doing here?
Oh! My dog. Name's Brutus. He climbed back into Margaret's garden.
"And the cats?"
"You don't know?" They were Margaret's cats - and then Charlotte remembered that Margaret had said something about cat food in the note.
- I also ask you ought to be asking, but who are you then? As far as I know, Margaret has no relatives. Charlotte didn't know what to say. She could not answer the truth, so she had to quickly devise lies.
"I'm her niece.".
- Um... Okay, fine.. then Charlotte noticed that he was wearing the same uniform as her.
- Wait!
-M?
- GM... The thing is, I don't know where the school is, and you seem to go to the same school.. and I thought... Can...
"Do you want to come with me?" No problem - Thomas was very friendly.
"I've got a bike not far from here. Only faster, foolish be late in the first same day)
"Good! She picked up her backpack and popped a piece of toast into her mouth.
"What?" I didn't have time to eat...
-pF.. okay get in.
Charlotte got on her bike, the first time she had ever tried something like this. Bicycle, rollers, skates.. she'd only read about it, but she'd never tried it.
And so... Prepare... Well, you're not like that dear, we're almost friends! Hold on tight or you'll fall! He took her hands and crossed them over his chest, causing Charlotte to blush and almost exclaim, then her toast might fall out. And they sped along the straight, sometimes hilly road...
Thank you for attention!
