In many places of the globe, huge stone structures rise, called the "megaliths". Megaliths include menhirs, dolmens, cromlechs, with which many mysteries and secrets are associated. Today, no one doubts that these structures are man-made. But not in the distant past, archeology and scientists disputed their man-madeness, claiming that most of these grandiose stone elevations were created by nature itself, and ancient people simply used them for their own purposes, primarily for ritual burials. And, on this statement for official science, the issue of megaliths has been exhausted. Scientists did not even try to investigate megaliths, so amateur archaeologists, geologists, ufologists did it for them ... It turned out that the situation with megaliths was not as simple as the official history tried to imagine. I suggest you, friends, to plunge with me into the mysterious world of megalithic culture, which has more than one millennium.
For a long time it was believed that the oldest building of megalithic culture is Stonehenge - a construction of huge stone slabs weighing from 25 to 5 tons. Stonehenge erection time is considered to be 2300 BC.
But, in the 60s of the 20th century, during the archaeological excavations in southeastern Turkey, near the city of Shandyurf, a grandiose temple of Gebekli Tele was found. At the beginning of the 21st century, megaliths, which are more than 12 thousand years old, were discovered near this temple. More recently, the megaliths of Hattuss, the ancient city that used to be the capital of the Hittite kingdom, belong to later times.
No less grand are the megaliths discovered in Peru near the city of Cuzco. They rise at an altitude of three thousand meters above sea level, in the body of a huge rock. Some researchers believe that the builder of the megaliths of Cuzco is the legendary people of Ollantaytambo - Lemurian giants.
Megaliths are famous not only in Asia, Europe, South America. These structures, and in a fairly significant amount, were also found in Russia (in the Urals, Altai Territory, Crimea and other areas). The most famous are Crimean dolmens, which are believed to have been used by ancient people living on the peninsula as a place for burials. By the way, I hope that I will be able to get to know the Crimean dolmens better. The fact is that in August I am going to visit the peninsula.
On the lake Turgoyak, Chelyabinsk region, there is an island called the “Island of Faith”. Here, during one of the expeditions, megalithic structures were discovered - dolmens and menhirs, erected by ancient people around the 4th millennium BC.
Thus, megaliths are even several thousand years older than the Egyptian pyramids. Who and why needed to build them?
Some scientists believe that the builders of megaliths were representatives of extraterrestrial civilization, who erected them as some kind of platform for touchdowns and departures. However, this version is not supported by material findings.
