Hello! You are on the channel "mystery in life", thank You for reading my articles!I will be glad to read positive reviews, they warm the soul)
In myths, sagas and sacred religious texts of various countries and peoples, you can find many stories about miraculous objects that were left to people or given to them by the gods. Among these legends, perhaps the most mysterious are the texts about the Holy Grail.
In the real existence of this relic did not doubt the authors of medieval chivalric novels and Chronicles, in search of him went knights and adventurers, fought for him and killed people, but the paradox is that we do not have any evidence of anyone who would have seen with my own eyes this mysterious object. Moreover, it is not even known what he was actually…
The Appearance Of The Grail.
The Grail was first mentioned in a French poetic romance of chivalry of the late XII century, written by Robert de Raven. It refers to the Bowl in which Joseph of Arimathea allegedly collected the blood of the crucified Jesus. Then this Shrine kept the magician of the British Celts Merlin and his pupil king Arthur.
However, in Celtic folklore there is another version of the appearance of the Grail in the British Isles: in the ancient sagas it is said that king Arthur during his journey to annon (the other world) got a magic cauldron, which he then set on his famous Round table. It should be emphasized that most historians believe king Arthur Britons real historical figure who lived in the late V-early VI century ad.
The appearance of the Grail.
Finally, there is a third version of the appearance of the mysterious Grail. As N. K. Roerich writes, in the Iranian poem of the V century ad "Percy Val Name" it is about the Grail and its guard Percy Val, who later, in the chivalric novels of XII-XIII centuries Chretien de Troyes, Wolfram von Eschenbach and others, turned into Parsifal. One of these authors, Wolfram von Eschenbach (early thirteenth century), gives such a significant explanation of where the Grail came from:
"It (the Grail) was once brought by a band who then returned to the shining stars."
It is very interesting that the folklore of the Celts associates the Grail with Merlin and other priests-druids. It is known that these priests possessed secret Sciences, understandable only to initiates.
Those same popular Celtic lore, for example, associate construction Stonehenge and other mysterious megalithic facilities of England and Ireland with activities priests-druids.
Should add that the Celts today are a great mystery to historians.
It is not known where they come from.
Today, the various dialects of Celtic are spoken by about six million people. These are the predominantly rural population of Scotland and Wales, the Bretons of northwestern France and the majority of the rural population of Ireland.
But two-two and a half thousand years ago the Celts occupied a huge territory-from the Volga to the Atlantic ocean, and Nicholas Roerich believed that in ancient times they lived much further to the East. During his famous Himalayan expedition, he found traces of them in Tibet and in the Ladakh mountains. Therefore, it is not surprising that we see common themes and images in the legends of such seemingly distant from each other peoples, as the inhabitants of Iran V century ad and the Celts of king Arthur.
But back to the Grail.
From the novels of chivalry XII-XIII centuries, it follows that in those days the Grail was not in Britain. Most often the place of its storage is associated with the mysterious castle of Monsalvat, located somewhere in the East or South. Parsifal, his son Lohengrin and other noble knights, heroes of novels of this cycle, are engaged in searches of a Grail. From texts follows, that find his can only man extremely high moral qualities, quarterback for good and justice, the, who sake of this high goal refuses from life and becomes an ascetic.
The one who was lucky enough to find the Grail, write these novels, could " see the unseen and hear the unheard." The knight who wanted to find the Grail and devote his life to its protection had to master an almost inhuman concentration and purpose, to discard everything superfluous, everything that could distract and relax on the way to the great Goal.
Because service to the Grail gave hope for the victory of good-not for himself, but for all people, the whole world.
It is not surprising that anyone unworthy, approaching this Shrine, was struck by a serious illness and wounds.
