Hello! You are on the channel All or nothing, thanks for reading me! Glad to see you and enjoy reading!

The article is subjective and expresses the personal opinion of the author.

Children are unpredictable: your five-year-old daughter does not have fun while you speak with Estonian accents all evening, but she dies with laughter when grandfather accidentally sits down on the newspaper. What is it: I saw a boy who fell into hysteria for forty minutes when his friend swung a sausage at him. And the other - who kicked the floor when voicing his lego truck, saying that he would hit his mother right in the ear. Of course, these are not those jokes that you will adopt when setting off for an office party. Although, it seems, there they will just be out of place.

The younger the child, the more we see cause for concern. For some reason, no one is worried about a teenager who is molested by dull anecdotes with the explanation: “Wait a minute, it will be ridiculous!” But the parents of the babies often worry: “Today, like yesterday, I say:“ BZZZZZ! ”Yesterday he laughed , but today no longer. What happened? ”Although in the first case it is time to take decisive measures (for example, to make the music louder), and in the second you can relax.

How a sense of humor develops

In the first year of a person’s life, the strange behavior of the parents amuses: if they throw him up to the ceiling, puff out his cheeks or hide, covering himself with a towel, and then jump sharply with a cry of “Carrumba!” A mother in a new hat should not be offended if the child grins into a fist. It is possible he thinks you have a new scalp.

Here you need to be careful only in one thing: screams, jumps and new facial expressions should come from people close to the baby. The bearded uncle Stanislav, who suddenly jumped out from under the towel shouting “Bu!”, Is likely to provoke a tantrum. Everyone will not be laughing.

At the age of 2-3, the child, if he has already come to his senses after the first stage, begins a new one - “the contradictory name of objects”. If you mistakenly called your nose a horse, and your horse a refrigerator, the baby will be very happy. Almost any mistake will be to your liking: before walking, put a sock on his hand, try drinking from a cup, turning it upside down, depict how a domestic hamster says “woof-woof”.

This is just the moment when Chukovsky’s “Confusion” is great to recite or to use the absurd tricks from “Tales for Those Who Are Not Three Years Old” by Ionesco. True, you need to be sure that the child understands how things really are. If you confused the voice of the Chilean alpaca with the voice of the head of the logistics department, it is likely that no one will appreciate the joke. Moreover, they really sound the same.

About three years old, children begin to understand that the word does not refer to one subject, but to a group with common distinguishing features. Ideas about the world are becoming more complicated, but not particularly visible from the outside: a person rejoices when dad says that the cow goes to bed in a crib. The absurdity becomes more complicated, and games with the language become more interesting for the child. An appropriate technique is to literally understand phraseological units, like that boy from Korney Ivanitch’s book “From Two to Five”: when he learned that the watch should be on the watch, he grabbed the watch and laughed off to stand on it.

Parents who are clinging to a vocabulary of vocabulary expressions and joyfully rub their hands, looking for something like "beat the buck" and "don’t knit a bast", it’s better not to tune in to quick success. Children are not sewn with bast; they never met this bast. The best thing a parent philologist can do here is to successfully drop the dictionary on his foot.

After seven years, we are already growing into abstract humor. A child can mentally construct a sequence of events that led to the fact that Uncle Jura and Uncle Gena asked for the whole bike and returned connected by a single chain. Bicycle.

To fuel these mental constructions, suggest the child to assume what will happen if ... And then any fantasy

How will the world and your street change if people have tails, if frogs are the size of a car, if Aunt Sveta walks in one swimsuit ... Well, no, it’s not necessary, now it’s difficult with swimsuits. In general, you understand.

Philological mothers will notice that now the younger ones have a finer play with the ambiguity of words: instead of push pins, they put buttons on the chair from the electric bell on the teacher.

Studies using a tomograph and funny videos show that in children 6-12 years old, the same areas of the brain as in adults are activated during a meeting with Mr. Bean - the area responsible for rewards and the area that processes inconsistencies.

(A useful note for the authors of humorous programs: the nature of the funny thing is that we are already tuned in one turn, and some kind of surprise confuses us.)

What is behind children's jokes

Scientists claim that an undeveloped sense of humor can signal many disorders, such as schizophrenia, autism and Asperger syndrome. Moreover, people with autistic disorders can understand the joke at the mathematical level, but they don’t seem funny at the same time. It is also important how the child jokes. In adolescents who are constantly engaged in humorous self-abasement, problems in relations with peers are quite possible.

From a practical point of view, a sense of humor helps children cope with something disturbing, frightening or incomprehensible. He joked with the director - and slightly reduced the level of anxiety. Psychologists, unlike the director, would have patted the child on the shoulder: the ability to joke in moments of danger is evidence of the vitality of a person. It’s a pity that the diary “He is so humorous in your diary” is not a compliment at all.

The pathological humor when a child laughs loudly at the word “toilet”, by the way, is a normal occurrence until adolescence. In this unpretentious way, a person overcomes the issues associated with the control of their excretory functions. More recently, this topic has been alarming, and now - “Look, grandmother, I composed a bold poem about the toilet and I tell it everywhere!” It’s very good to work out such topics in the children's company in the game, the most witty guys there perform in much the same way as the heroes of teen comedies: they fart at the armpit, and then slap themselves on the knee and laugh for half an hour.

Jokes and creative thinking

Humor develops in people according to the growth of their cognitive sphere - this is exactly why your child does not like Faina Ranevskaya’s aphorisms walking around the network. He has already outgrown them.

Today, scientists are not just talking about the connection between a sense of humor and high intellect (this has long been known), it is much more interesting that the ability to joke is well correlated with other types of creative thinking, with non-standard approaches to solving problems. It is unlikely that anyone will argue that dollies glued with plasticine to the wallpaper are an innovative method of cleaning. If you do not believe it, you can reproduce one of the studies: ask the child to reproduce the joke and explain its meaning.

This was somehow done with children 7–9 years old, it turned out that among ordinary children less than half could brag about having understood the joke, and among gifted children it turned out to be 92%, that is, almost all guessed at what point it was necessary to laugh. Teenagers, who often joked in the classroom, scored more than other points in creativity tests (in Russia, creativity tests were traditionally replaced by comments from the teacher).

By the way, the skill to shine with wit is quickly extinguished if it does not meet the response. Teens, for example, quickly stop joking in the classroom if instead of applause they encounter deathly silence or the phrase "Just joke here, you are our gifted one!" Therefore, noticing that your child is preparing to give a joke, get ready to laugh (strained or not). Unfortunately, science has not yet invented another way to somehow cheer up a beginner stand-up.

Social development and cultural level

In order to invent a graceful impromptu, you need to have a good level of social competence and by subtle signs to guess who the Trudovik is aiming at with a pointer. Not only that: creating acuteness, it is necessary to take into account the general level of students and their cultural baggage.

Teachers often complain about children's humor, giving out something like this: “... Unfortunately, other first-graders memorize something easier and more willingly like“ A girl found a machine gun in a field, no one lives in the village ”than poems by Pushkin or Barto” . Any person who at least remotely imagines a school understands that counting on authority by reading Barto’s poems to friends in the corridors is a wild idea. Thank God that it does not occur to any student in the head.

As for the black humor, because of him, too, do not worry. Recently, researchers at the Vienna Medical University found that the higher the human intellect, the more loyal he is to jokes in the Tarantino style. But average intelligence and a high level of aggression, on the contrary, do not correlate well with the perception of noir jokes.

In this sense, the guys who make fun of the girl with a machine gun, just have a better chance of understanding in any company than the one who was frightened of the machine gun, and then immediately began to recite Barto.

Not only the company arranges jokes for people: he has a family to implement the most daring ideas. American researchers in a recent study came to an unexpected conclusion: the way a child evaluates a funny thing is more dependent on his dad's way of joking than on his mother's.

With my mother’s perception of the comic, no intersections were found, but the pope, who enters into a polemic with the radio host, largely forms children's ideas about the funny. This is always worth keeping in mind.

When you tell a child a story, do not forget to clarify that this is not a retelling of a comedy series, but a story about your real work day.

Despite the fact that the nature of humor is widely studied at different levels, people have not yet managed to create a robot that I would not want to break after his second joke, so all hopes are still on the children.
