Quite a lot of time has already passed since our fall break in Innsbruck, Austria.
The emotions and impressions of the journey subsided. But there is a plus. Remained in vivid memories of something really worthwhile. And these are three events: Ascent to the Nordkette mountain range, a visit to the Tyrolean folk art museum and the Hofkirche black retinue church.
First of all, I advise everyone to purchase an Innsbruck card, it will open before you the whole city and its environs. Cost for 24 hours - 33 euros, for 48 hours - 41 euros, for 72 hours - 47 euros, for children from 6 to 15 years, a 50% discount. We took a card for three days and did not regret it. On it you can ride in Innsbruck and the surrounding area on everything that moves :), city public transport, all lifts, sightseeing buses.
Visit all museums and take pictures at photo terminals. It is sold in all travel agencies, ticket offices with lifts, ticket offices with major attractions, in hotels.
Now about the events you liked ..
On the Nordkette, we begin the ascent from Congress, first by cable car, then by two lifts. The whole climb is breathtaking views !!!
On the way at the stations you can go out, walk, then take the next lift.
We went to the very top, as far as possible. It is simply breathtaking from the majestic cliffs, from the views, from the mountain air. Cool, you must have a jacket or sweater with you despite the warm weather in the valley.
Museum of Tyrolean Folk Art .. Impressive with its many exhibits that reveal all aspects of Tyrolean life.
Hofkirche right there at the museum .. I read about it on our website, I was very impressed and tried to get into it without fail! And I was not disappointed .. The black retinue of King Maximilian 1 of 28 bronze statues impresses with its beauty. there is something in it that is majestic and secret and sinister .. suggestive.
In the end, I want to talk about the Pacherkofel peak, on the opposite side of the Nordkette. For the whole week, we were not able to climb it on a lift. It just didn't work, sort of because of bad weather.
We lived in a hotel nearby and went there as to work in the hope that they would turn it on now .. And the weather was fine, but they did not start it. Therefore, who wants to climb Pacherkofel, do not count on the ski lift .. Walk very far on foot, if you decide, you must start the climb right in the early morning. And remember what else to go back, and it turned out to be much longer and harder ..
The legs really hurt, you won’t run off the hill, as you thought at the beginning of the path .. We still didn’t reach the top .. maybe I am in the middle and I doubt it: ) I hope you are lucky and the lift will still work :)
