decided to devote this day to Salzburg and its environs, so the day before I bought myself a SalzburgCard for 27 euros. The first point of my program was Helbrunn, where I went early in the morning on bus 25, showing the driver at the entrance my name SalzburgCard (on the back of the card you need to enter the name, date and time of its beginning). The trip took about 20 minutes. We unload, cross the road and, following the sign, go to the gates of the Helbrunn suburban residence (1612-1615).
Today is the first overcast cool day, and this immediately changes the atmosphere of the trip. Everything is somehow not bright, not courageous ... almost empty square in front of the palace building, and the palace itself is somehow rustic ... so, a country house ... in fact, it was like that ... the owners in this building never slept ...
After the mountains and lakes, I did not want to wander around the rooms at all and I went to the park to feed the carps and ducks.
I got a lot of pleasure. In the battle for cookies, ducks constantly lost, and carps resembled small vacuum cleaners. As soon as feeding appeared on the water, they opened their mouths wide and absorbed everything that floated on the surface. A few seconds, and the water became clear again. And the peak of fish insolence was the moment when the carp snatched a piece of cookie directly from the beak of the unfortunate drake ...
After the park, I decided to continue zoological experiments and walked around the local zoo, which was successfully inscribed in the mountain landscape. Presented SalzburgCard at the entrance, received an admission ticket and now I'm already near the aviary with goats.
For a hundred years I have not been to the zoo, but in vain! Very positive impression! Moreover, the weather began to improve! After the zoo, I returned to the palace, received a ticket on the SalzburgCard for the right to visit the palace and the Amusement Fountains excursion indicating the time it started. The "Fun Fountains" and the mechanical theater of Archbishop Marcus Cittikus - this is exactly what everyone comes here for. It is impossible to roam independently in that part of the park where they are located. Tours take place once every half an hour. At the entrance to this part of the park there is a placard that indicates the time of the next excursion. Everyone who has a ticket for this time gathers at the entrance. A tour guide appears (he guides the tour in German and English), and it all starts.
First, the whole group was seated near the fountain table, and the guide told us that the amusing Mannerism style fountains were designed in the 17th century to entertain guests of Archbishop Marcus Cittikus.
That almost all the fountains have survived to our times in an unchanged form, and that a lot of fun and interesting things await us. Then, one by one, we examined all mechanical and non-mechanical fountains, and the playful guide periodically turned on the nozzles under our feet. There was enough water for everyone. Here and there, someone screamed in surprise. The Chinese and children were especially having fun!
Fountain
Fountain "Crown". A jet of water lifts the crown, showing the power of power, but now the jet is becoming stronger, and the crown rests on the ceiling ... because any power still has its limit!
After the fountains, I still went on an excursion to the palace.
I wanted to listen to music in a room with amazing acoustics. I listened. Impressive. A small room, and the music sounds as if in a concert hall.
Another interesting feature was an interactive round sofa, consisting of separate armchairs with tablets embedded in the armrests. If you wish, you can sit in one of the chairs and, slowly rotating in a circle, study the murals on the walls. At this time, on the tablet with all kinds of explanations, that fragment of the painting, by which you are passing, is reflected. I also turned on it ... at the same time rested a bit!
Still worth staying in the "cartoon room", where through graphic animation on the wall the legends of old folk festivals are reproduced, and look into the "geographical room". The globe is new there, but paper Chinese wallpapers are very original.
Half a day passed very quickly. The tour, which at first did not bode well, turned out to be very successful! I advise everyone!
