Horses are one of the first animals to be domesticated by man in ancient times. Together with the dog horse faithfully serves and helps man for many millennia. Horses have long been the only mode of transport in the world. Nowadays the role of these animals in this quality has become almost imperceptible, but the man has not forgotten his faithful assistants and friends. Horses are still a way of beauty and devotion, and one of their uses in today's world is sport.
Horse breeding and equestrian sports
Sports horse breeding is a separate sub-sector. At all times, the rider and his horse had to solve a lot of problems that required from this tandem of coherence and understanding. Time passed and the applied value of the horse was becoming more and more secondary.
All equestrian sports are divided into classical and national sports.
Preparing for them differs and is associated with the specifics of a particular type of competition, but all competitions require serious preparation of both the horse and the person who controls it. Next, we will look at the most well-known and popular equestrian disciplines and briefly describe their essence
Smooth racing-The most famous type of classic equestrian competition, which allows you to identify the fastest horses in the world.
Horse racing-This type of riding races is divided into two disciplines - barrier racing and steeplechase.
Barrier races-Here, on the course, which usually ranges from two to three kilometers, special obstacles are placed - barriers.
Stypel-chez.
Running-Running is a very beautiful and quite popular horse-sports view for horses of harnessed breeds.
Dressage-No speed, no jumping, no animal endurance required. The main thing is the coordination of movements, mutual understanding with the rider and perfection of the exercises. For the first time in a dressage competition, it may seem that the rider is not doing anything, and all the work is done by the horse. He practically dances, crosses and lifts his legs, performs pirouettes and beautiful turns.
Triathlon-As the names make clear, animals and riders compete with each other in several disciplines, which include:
- Competition
- Dressage.
- cross-country racing.
- All three species are performed by one person and one horse. The competition lasts three days each: one day - one discipline. We have already told about the first two types of triathlon above. It should be noted only that in the triathlon the dressing room animal is required to perform simpler elements, and the height of obstacles in the competition is reduced. There are no other differences.
Competition
Dressage-Here, in addition to the understanding with the animal, the rider needs a high level of physical fitness and maximum flexibility and agility.n the past, the elements of digitovka were used in the combat cavalry. The army rider had to be able to shoot on the move, evade enemy attacks, lift objects from the ground and so on. Gradually, these skills became sports skills.Typically, both single-skinned sleds and two, four, six or (occasionally) eight horses are used The essence of it is that the rider on horseback, galloping, performs a variety of tricks (inclinations, coups, under the belly, jumps to the ground and back in the saddle, balancing standing feet on the saddle, and so on).
Bobcat-Bobcats under the saddle are trotters running with a rider on their backs.
Skidding-It's all about towing a skier's horse.Later on, talk to you about sports we haven't touched on into this article.
National equestrian and sports competitions
There are a lot of such species, and each nation, closely connected to horses, has different species. For example, archery is popular in Mongolia on a horseback riding a full-backed horse.
In many Asian countries, baiga is popular - racing over rough or smooth terrain at long, up to a hundred kilometers, distances. In Kazakhstan, the national kind of "Kyz-Kuu" is popular, where riders in bright clothes take turns chasing each other, trying to be the first to occupy a specially designated "stall".
The essence of the competition is that the number of these "stalls" is always one less than the number of participants, and in the end, there are two finalists and one stall. This equestrian game is very similar to a common home game with chairs.
Sports horse breeding and equestrian sport are not only beautiful spectacular events but also painstaking selection and breeding work. Recently the best sports horses and their descendants are worth millions of dollars, so it is also a very profitable horse breeding business.
