Anonymous Mail Protonmail. Part 1

A secure (really secure), anonymous, off-the-radar email service is a necessity of an hour, isn't it? Well, that's where this Protonmail review begins.

What if I tell you the government. Can you spy on each of your emails? Is each of your files shared over the Internet along with email providers and third-party hackers?

This is because in some situations the law obliges email providers to cooperate with the government. to the fullest, and they, as "commercial" organizations, did not feel the need to engage in a fight with the Government.

So, how do you keep your emails safe, in places where the government is intrusive. and other curious eyes can't get to them? Protonmail seems like an acceptable option, but how good is it or not? Here's what we've revealed in this Protonmail review.

What is Protonmail?

Obviously, if you're reading this Protonmail review, there's every chance that you're not familiar with the platform yet.

Protonmail is an email provider that allows you to create, send and receive emails and files over the Internet.

But what's worth making this Protonmail review different from Gmail, Yahoo or any other major email provider is that it's anonymous, secure, and unavailable to the government.

It's an email provider that protects your privacy and security, and that's what makes it special. Here are the factors that make it as anonymous as it claims.

For starters, it does not request any personal data when registering. In fact, it is recommended to use random names/characters in the email ID along with other incorrect details.

Since Protonmail also doesn't know who you are, you have no chance that your anonymity will be disclosed even in the event of a hack or seizure, as the details do not exist even in the company.

Based in Switzerland

Secondly, it is a company founded and registered in Switzerland, and obviously the Swiss are famous for their honesty and respect for the privacy of users, even if it is your government. I really wanted to take over the servers or the data, they had an almost impossible chance of doing so.

And as will be explained later, even Protonmail does not have access to your data, which leads to the fact that no matter what kind of government. You are offended, someone just has almost no way to get hold of your personal conversations. (Unless encryption becomes useless, which in itself is almost impossible).

No IP logs

Aside from the aforementioned two factors, another fact that makes him truly anonymous is that it does not maintain the IP address logs that Gmail and almost any other email provider has publicly taken to keeping the log.

Since it does not store any logs, Protonmail also does not know where you are from, and therefore your identity remains unchanged as there are no logs that could be stolen or hacked.

This was one of the main reasons that prompted me to write this review of Protonmail; and why I personally think Protonmail is a great solution for anonymous emails.

Is Protonmail safe?

It's anonymous, yes; But is it safe enough? That's the way it should be, because if it's only "anonymous" and unsafe, in this case your emails can be hacked and many personal data leaked.

Fortunately, this is not possible with Protonmail; Here are the factors that help us establish his safety:

End-to-end encryption

One of the features that make Protonmail a safe email provider is the fact that it is fully encrypted.

For the uninitiated, end-to-end encryption means that the message is encrypted from your (sender) to the recipient. In other words, the email is stored in an encrypted format when it is on Protonmail's servers, and only when the recipient reads it, it is decrypted.

The Protonmail team does not have access to your data

The data is encrypted not only for third parties, but also for Protonmail, which means that the company also cannot decrypt your emails even if it wants to.

This does not apply to the main email providers, they not only have access, but also "read" your emails, which has been proven and accepted by Gmail.

The encryption key in Protonmail for email is stored on the client's side (on your side) and the team never has access to them, and therefore your emails belong exclusively to you.

It also eliminates the risk that companies are selling your data to third parties, as is the case with most major email service providers who do so to "personalize advertising" for advertisers.

It's open source.

Protonmail has open source, meaning the encryption code and encryption algorithm used by the company can be verified by anyone who knows what to do freely.

This ensures that no backdoors will be built, and the company does provide what it claims to, without any restrictions.

Thus, end-to-end encryption, combined with complete data isolation from any kind of third-party (including Protonmail) access and open source, confirms the fact that so far it seems extremely secure and anonymous.

Self-destructing emails

One of the most innovative and privacy-enhancing features that deserve to be mentioned in this Protonmail review is its self-destructing emails.

Emails are deleted from the recipient's mailbox after you have pre-installed the email before sending the email.

What makes it even more special is that self-destructing emails can be sent not only to Protonmail emails, but also to regular emails outside of Protonmail, ensuring that even if your recipient does not is a Protonmail user, your privacy is still maintained. remains untouched.

Thank you for your attention!
