Just days after law enforcement authorities in the Netherlands seized one bitcoin mixing service, another popular service ceased operations and told users to withdraw funds. The Bitcoin Blender service closes according to the message in the site cap and in the Bitcoin Talk forum message.

Although no official statement was made as to why Bitcoin Blender was closing, the owner of the bitcoin mixer posted a warning on the front page of Bitcoin Blender 's hidden service (bitblendervrfkzr.onion) and posted a message on the bitcointalk.org. Users suggested the closure was linked to the recent seizure of Bestmixer.io, a bitcoin mixer believed to be linked to criminal activity.
DeepDotWeb advertised Bestmixer.io on the sidebar after a similar shutdown of the bitcoin mixer for unknown reasons. Archival versions of the DeepDotWeb indicate that the site never hosted a Bitcoin Blender ad. Law enforcement also highlighted how Bestmixer encourages coin mixing to disguise illegal activities. Bitcoin Blender, on the clearnet information website, offered to mix coins only for privacy reasons.
