Vienna cuisine has gathered all the best from all the outskirts of the empire. And, although Austria-Hungary is no longer there, eating in this city is not a problem.
And I'll start with Ribbs, simply because here are the most delicious ribs in Vienna. The prices are quite reasonable: for 16 euros you get a meter of ribs. The set of sauces is too extensive, even when we chose the mix, and you could choose 3 types, the choice was difficult. However, the classic turned out to be good, and my daughter liked the orange. Feel free to experiment, especially since the waiter understood Russian and could advise.
In addition to the ribs, we ordered marbled beef steak. It was served with a hot stone, on which you can fry the pieces to the desired level.
We did not have time to order in advance, so we arrived a few minutes before the opening, hoping that the peak would be at 7 in the evening, and not at 5 and we were right. They were waiting for the opening, basically the same as we found a cozy corner for us.
The restaurant is located on Weihburggasse 22, not far from Mozart's house. We must go under the arch and go down to the basement.
Vaulted cellar, wooden benches and tables, an old house and a sign that the restaurant has been open since 1591. I think that since then he has changed a lot and changed his hosts more than once.
In any case, write down the address, I highly recommend it.
And one more recommendation. Restaurant 1070 is not very cheap. Dinner will cost at least 27 euros. But, if you can afford it, we reserved a table on the site just an hour before arrival. But the Salm Broy brewery does not need recommendations. The location is extremely successful: right at the exit of the Belvedere. You will not pass by. Yes and no.
The building, of course, is historical. Winery and vineyard of the then burgomaster. I will not retell the story, especially since everything is written in the menu in pure Russian. I can only say that everything has been done to preserve the flavor, and to make it clear where the Empress’s stable was, and where are the remains of the Salesian monastery.

And finally, the pearl of Viennese cuisine is Tafelspitz in the restaurant Plachutta. This is the same attraction of the city as palaces and churches.
In any case, getting there was not easy. We managed to book a place only the day after tomorrow, at 17.00, and at 19.00 and 2 days is not enough. Unless in the central.

That is, first we pour the broth into plates, then we smear the brain from the bone on toasted brown bread (there are only 2 of them, if anyone likes bread, do not let it be removed before serving), then meat with potatoes, spinach and sauce.
Despite the fact that the place can be called a tourist one, and the dish is just boiled beef. This is royal food. Do not pass by.

And finally: you can’t get into famous places, do not worry. It is possible that what you found nearby is no worse.
For example, I planned to eat Viennese schnitzel in Figlmüller. It is well known that he is the best there. But we were very hungry, and did not want to leave this street: we had not walked yet.
And they began to look for a place on the ground. Stumbled upon an Italian restaurant. I resisted, I wanted Austrian food. But the Gastro Type sticker convinced me.
Average price category. The owners are Italians, they know how to cook deliciously, including local dishes. Schnitzel was very good.

Now that I’m already at home, I dream of having breakfast again at the cafes I visited and meet new restaurants. There is enough good restaurants in Vienna.
