Chang Sun has a total of seven children, including sons Li Chenghao, Li Tai, Li Zhi, daughter Changle Princess, Chengyang Princess, Jinyang Princess, and New Town Princess. In other words, the Princess of New Town is the sister of Tang Gaozong Li Zhi.
The discovery of the Tomb of the New Town Princess is surprising and quite unexpected.
It has always been believed that the Tomb of the New Town Princess is a tomb located in the southeast of Zhaoling, just a ditch from the Zhaoling Tomb. However, after the archaeological excavation in 1990, the tomb was discovered by Wei Guizhen, not the Princess of the New Town.
By the way, Wei Guizhen, her name is Wei Wei, she was married to Li Zixiong, the son of Li Zixiong, who was married to the Ministry of Civil Affairs of the People's Republic of China. She gave birth to a son and was later named "Dingyi County Master" by her stepfather Li Shimin. After the death, Wei Wei was in Wude four years (AD 621), and Li Shimin, who was re-married, was a man and a woman for Li Shisheng, namely Li Shen, the emperor of the Tenth Emperor, and Li Mengjiang, the princess of the Emperor.
When Li Shimin was the emperor (the first year of Zhenguan, 627 AD), Li Wei was the nobleman and ranked first among the four ladies.
Then, where the new city princess was buried became a mystery. After a few years, I found the Tomb of the New Town Princess, which is of course amazing.
Why is the archaeological community very concerned about the Tomb of the New Town Princess? It turned out that this is the only tomb of the princess buried in the Tang Dynasty.
The new city first married the grandson Sun Quan, and later married Wei Zhengmao. Long Yu three years (663 AD) died, when the emperor's brother, Li Zhi, ordered that she be buried in Zhaoling with the Queen's gift. Why can the Princess of New Town be buried under the Queen's Day? This should be related to her death.
According to the history book, the Princess of the New Town is "violent" - very sudden death, only 30 years old when he died.
The "New Tang Book" records that the new city princess married the original husband and grandson, and then married a problem, "I don't care for the Lord", the husband and wife are not good, Wei Zhengmo can't respect the emperor's sister, and treat it with courtesy. It is "rudeness", which for today should be called "family cold violence."
My sister suddenly died, and it was very embarrassing. The emperor’s brother could not accept it. He ordered the judicial department to strictly investigate and arrested Wei Zhengmao. However, Wei Zhengmo’s death on the new city princess was simply unclear. Li Zhi, who was very sad, simply killed her sister Wei Zheng in the month of the death of the new city princess. "New Tang Book · Gao Zong Ji" has a record: "(Long Yao) has been in the third year of February, killing the horses and all the horses."
Although the sister Wei Zhengzheng was executed, Li Zhi still could not understand the pain of losing her sister. Li Zhi liked this little old girl very much. She thought that her death was unclear. Her ex-husband was because of being detained, and she was sentenced to exile. Then she was killed by Wu Zetian. It is also unclear. Li Zhi is very self-conscious. responsibility. In this case, only with a high-level funeral can you get a psychological balance, let the family get comfort and give everyone a statement.
The tomb of the Tomb of the New Town Princess is not far from Zhaoling, showing the intimacy between the father and the daughter, and the identity is not ordinary. The seal of the Tomb of the New Town Princess shows nobleness and is the highest level of the bucket.
This is a noble tomb appearance, much higher than the conical tomb. The above-mentioned pre-natal status is very high, and the head of the four noble ladies, Wei Guifei's tomb is conical, which shows that the specifications of the new city princess was very high.
However, the archaeological finds that the tomb of the New Town Princess Tomb is not high, is a single-room tomb, and other princesses are not prominent.
According to the archaeological briefing, the Tomb of the New Town Princess is a single brick tomb of the Long Slope Tomb. It faces south and consists of a slope tomb, 5 tunnels, 5 patios, 8 niches, ramps and tombs. The total length is 50.8 meters.
During the excavation, it was discovered that the Tomb of the Princess of the New Town was stolen seriously, and the stone blocks of the stone bed were all upset. At the bottom of the stone sarcophagus and other places, the dead wood and the nails were removed, the raft was destroyed, and the shape was unknown. The remains of the new city princess were scattered throughout the tomb.
Although the tomb has been stolen many times, there are still a large number of burial objects unearthed, mainly from 5 niches and tombs. The other 3 niches and ramps are only unearthed with sporadic small objects and debris. The main objects are 293 pieces of various painted pottery.

However, the epitaph revealed that the new city princess did not seem to be willing again. Zhi Wen said that she "has a single-minded, no-loss word", meaning that the new city princess has a single-minded feeling and has a deep affection for the first husband, Chang Sun. Then why are you married again? It should be that the emperor's brother made a mistake and forced her to marry Wei Zhengmo, which led to a royal marriage tragedy.
