What comes in my clinic bag?

Оглавление

I have never had a planned cesarean section. But now. The date is fixed. Next Tuesday, the time has come. Our baby is born. Until then, wait for me and make the final preparations. Maybe it starts sooner. But I do not rely on that. But I am already ready today.

The cot and the are ready for some weeks. Yesterday I was CTG to my gynecologist and she said, I should definitely pack my clinic bag now and ready. I've been thinking about it in the last few days, but I've not packed anything yet. During my first pregnancy, I was so surprised by the caesarean section and the following painful days that I just walked around in the hospital shirt and did not even touch the clinic bag. At the second pregnancy, I then at least on the 3rd Day reasonably normal clothes dressed but half of the contents of the bag also not needed.

This time, I really only pack what I need, I've set myself.

My clinic bag

The bag is from Bensimon. The bag is great, very light. It fits in incredibly much and you can hang it over the stroller handlebar.

What I pack for myself

1. One or two nightshirts or long shirts that are good for breastfeeding.

2. Slippers and slippers to slip on. Mine are from flip * flop and are basically both.

3. Pull a bathrobe or robe over it for a quick look.

4. towels.

5. Comfortable clothes for the journey home. My pants in the picture is from Boobdesign and perfectly soft for the days after the cesarean section.

6. A cosmetic bag (this of course is from us and they are available in the Hauptstadtmutti shop) with: Toothbrush, hairbrush, hair ties, face cream, contact lens container and liquid.

7. lip balm. Mine is from Night Delight and looks good too.

8. Nursing bra and panties for the time in the hospital and especially for the journey home. I have a nursing bra set by Anita with me. The set consists of a beautiful lace bra. It fits perfectly and the nursing pads fit in quite well. Whether the matching panties after a caesarean section works, I have to see. In any case, I have him with me and could wear it. The main thing is that the bra sits, then you feel always better and dressed.

9. Breast Pads and Nipple Ointment. Since my first pregnancy, I am a big fan of Lansinoh in all breastfeeding products. Especially the nipple cream HPA® Lanolin is just great. It is made of 100% wool wax and you can even use it for the lips, other rough areas on the body or to protect against blisters. Since the start-up time was always a bit painful for me, that was my salvation. With the ointment, the pain is simply less strong and you get used to breastfeeding faster. The important thing is: do not wait too long, but apply Lanolin to the nipple while you're brushing. An absolute advantage of the Lansinoh Nipple Ointment is that it does not have to be removed before breastfeeding. Because the HPA® lanolin is free from additives and is also absolutely odorless and tasteless. Breast milk, for example, tastes like mother's milk when breastfeeding. I already know the nursing pads from my other two pregnancies. The Lansinoh nursing pads are very thin and still absorbent. So you do not see them from the outside, but you're still protected. For this I have this time as a precaution packed the ThermoPerlen of Lansinoh. These are very pleasant, especially with milk intake because of their cooling effect. You can also heat them slightly and use them as heat inserts directly on the breast or on the milk pump to stimulate the milk flow.

10. Mobile phone and charging cable must not be missing and absolutely make sure that there is enough storage space for photos.

11. Do not forget your mother pass, health insurance card and identity card. And, if the clinic takes over the civil registration, then of course, wrap up marriage certificate and / or the birth certificates of mom and dad.

12. Enough money for the hospital photographer.

13. Little sweet snacks, because it is well known that there is always very little in the hospital.

14. A book, which can be read well or magazines, so light food in between, but most of the time you spend anyway, with the ecstatic looking baby 😉

What I pack for the baby

1. A little outfit for the way home: 1 bodysuit, 1 pants or romper, 1 wrap-around jacket, 1 hat, 1 warm jacket or 1 overalls, warm socks or shoes.

2. Diapers for the discharge day.

3. Mulled diaper or burp cloth.

4. A warm blanket for the way home (ours has knitted the granny).

5. A car seat for the car for the Nachh auseweg. We have one from Britax Römer, the Baby Safe I-Size in gray. I'm curious how it is. We have never had a Britax Roman baby carrier before. At least everything is very easy to set up, she has a newborn use and a sunscreen and the handling with the Isofix base is also quite simple.
