Lake Sevan, Hayravank monastery, Sevanavank monastery and Dilijan-Little Switzerland

Each time independent travel to Armenia surprised us more and more. And the next day we devoted to relaxation and beach holidays. A trip to lake Sevan was planned! The lake itself is incomparable: huge, clean, surrounded by mountains, and it is there that the ideal temperature!

On the way we stopped at a very beautiful monastery Hayravank on the shore of Sevan. Stones of all shades of red and blue of the lake attract the eye. Then we decided to find accommodation on the shore of the lake, sunbathe, swim, and at sunset go to the monastery Sevanavank (as in the daytime there are many tourists). We visited all the bases on the shore, the price tag started from 15,000 drams (about 1982) and above.

Came to the aid of favorite Booking.com hotel Nirvana, of 12,000 drams (about R. 1586) with super Breakfast. Advise. Keeps the hotel a good family, cook very tasty and inexpensive. We also had dinner with freshly caught fish (6000 drams full dinner for 2-is about 793 rubles). There is a beach, sunbeds, towels. The room is cool, nice bed, own toilet and shower, TV, fridge. For this money advise. Sunset met on the Sevanavank, this is a stunner!

Big advantages of renting a car: we always picked the time where there will be a minimum of tourists, and were inspired by the beauty of the sights almost alone.

Then with difficulty leaving through the tunnel we went to Dilijan-Little Switzerland in Armenia. You come out of the tunnel and ahhhh... just a green world, all the mountains are covered with dense forest. Easy to breathe and very tasty.

The second very favorite monastery of me-Haghartsin, around the forest and mountains, a very picturesque place where you can enjoy nature and ancient architecture. Struck glass arches with a rainbow, and a huge refectory. Entrance is free, Parking-200 AMD (about 27 rubles). In this place you want to come back again and again. Suggest a must-see!

Then along the way we stopped at the monastery Goshavank. Not impressed at all. All the fault of active repairs, very much interfered with the noise.

Garni-pagan temple

After our route through Armenia lay through Yerevan to Garni — the only pagan temple in Armenia. Honestly - did not like the entrance 3000 drams (about 397 p.), Parking 200 drams (about 27 p.). The only place with a paid entrance, but that's not what upset me. There are too many tourists, well, that's not like I enjoy the antiquities in the human crowd, inside the temple itself, the Museum of ancient excavations and ruins. And the view is amazing. And very cool photos
