Traveling in South America. Inspiration

Well, it's time to tell you about our next big dream. When you read this post, we will already be at the airport, once again said goodbye to Bali (but with a light heart, because we are sure that we will definitely return there soon). The dream of seeing South America appeared in my head long before Nepal. And this was in those distant times, when I still had no idea that one day I could leave — alone, with a backpack — to explore new countries. So - I read about Machu Picchu in those distant days, and this place seemed to me - the most mysterious and unattainable on the planet. As a result, of course, I never went anywhere, for it is expensive, far away, and somehow frightening. But it was thanks to this dream that I began to read reports of people about travel (on the Vinsky forum, by the way) and realized that people then go not only to Egypt, but, for example, to Nepal. And from that moment everything spun, as you recall. About a year later I already had tickets to Kathmandu. And

And the dream of Peru was put in a long box. Then in the same box appeared the cosmic mountain of Roraima in Venezuela, the pictures of which haunted me for a long time.

Remember, I even wrote a whole post with dreams about travel (Here).

Then the Uyuni salt flats in Bolivia. I have a whole folder for inspiration dedicated to South America (you see many photos here, by the way).

And there was a cartoon “Up”, looked at him with tears in her eyes and thought - damn it, that's about me, and I will save up to South America and dream until old age.

And then I met Anton - also with a big dream about South America, which did not want to come true. And we began to dream together. Well, dreaming.

When I once, two years ago (oh my God, only two years passed, and how everything changed in my life) just packed my backpack in the unknown, on my first big trip, I felt like a hero-discoverer. By the way, here everything is about him.

And although this whole period I was not, as it were, sitting at home, but Asia - it is already perceived as a house. Everything is comfortable here, of course, here in the most remote village in the Himalayas they speak English, and when coming to Bali, for example, it always seems to me that I returned home. In short, it is no longer perceived as the formidable Terra incognita inhabited by the natives.

By the way, the decision to go to South America right now was not easy for us. Because now there is Girls in travel, a project that is gaining momentum very quickly, and we will have to postpone all trips until the fall. But thank you for such a desire to travel with us - because already in the fall we have a lot of applications for a hen party in Nepal (two groups) and on a track to the base camp of Everest. In February, we will begin recruiting for these groups. We are also preparing a new season for you and will soon tell you about a bachelorette party in Vietnam.

We decided not to conduct any tours in South America yet, because, as they say, quality is above all.

But, of course, we are going there not just for emotions and impressions, but with the goal of finding all the very things and in the near future to call you to our girls in the unknown gave, for example, to Colombia or Bolivia :))

In general, I’m telling you about our plans for the next six months. Of course, nothing has been booked with us, except for the first three days at the hotel. But there are a million plans, I just do not want to limit myself to a framework. And to build a trip on the principle "if I like it here, I can afford to stay a week, and if I'm tired, I can buy a ticket and leave tomorrow." In short, we are tired of predictability and planning. And we still did not learn Spanish, and now with a couple of dozen words in our head we drive in the hope of our ingenious linguistic abilities.

Our transfer from Bali to South Africa promises to be long.

First, we will fly to Kuala Lumpur, where we will spend a day, quickly look at the Petronas once again and eat some strange Chinese dishes in Chinatown.

Then we will fly to Istanbul, where we will also have the whole day. We’ll run to the pier Eminenu, there are mussels, walk along the Galata bridge, wander along Chukurdzhum and Taksim. Take a ferry ride along the Bosphorus and maybe even see snow :))) From Istanbul we fly through Amsterdam and São Paulo to Argentina. And after a few days on the road, we finally get to Buenos Aires.
