Because of time we had to cut it. This is on instance where we were gonna have a bunch of factory workers just going about their day in one of the many Star Destroyer shipyards. Funny thing is when I did this painting they were like "oh we forgot to mention it's supposed to be during daybreak" so I had to adjust the overall lighting of the concept. Fun exercise for sure!

One of the common things of using 3D for concept artwork during a movie production is that if the piece is approved we also hand the 3D file, this helps the modeling department in the construction of the final asset and not start from scratch to save some time. . Solo A Star Wars Story: Kessel Run Space Monster
Some fun work developing the head and eyes of the Kessel Run Space Monster (summa-verminoth!) based on Aaron McBride's awesome initial design. A few of us in the art dept took a pass at developing different parts of it. The DMS and the animation teams did some really nice work bringing it all together.
