This story took place in the 18th century, in France.
It is still very much mysterious and enigmatic circumstances, who now can not be explained either historians or zoologists.
It all began in 1764.
The young woman was grazing on the lawn cattle when from thickets on it jumped enormous wolf and began to tear teeth its body.
Fortunately for the woman, the bulls she was herding rallied in the face of danger and forced the wolf to flee.
The attack was the beginning of the terror that reigned in a small mountainous French province.
Wolf tasted the taste of human blood, resumed their attacks, and through some time from his fangs rotted away fifteen-year-old girl.
She was found in the woods, partly gnawed and mauled by this beast.
The attacks continued with appalling frequency, and three more children, one girl, and two boys were killed in a few weeks.
Residents of nearby villages suggested that the attack was the work of the same beast, as the manner of the killings was always the same.
The beast suddenly attacked, knocked his victim to the ground, and sank his teeth into the throat.
Autumn came, and the beast did not calm down, and to the number of his victims, added an adult woman.
After a while, the number of victims of the man-eating wolf reached ten people, and the province was seized with horror.
The government sent a regiment of Dragoons to help the inhabitants, and they set to work with zeal.
In a short time, the soldiers killed about a hundred wolves, and in full confidence that they eliminated the threat, the Dragoons left the area.
But as soon as the soldiers left, the wolf killed a seven-year-old boy, and the people realized that this creature just can not cope. (to be continued)
