To intensify efforts to strengthen the common security policy by United Russia, it was decided to form an international party center in Kaliningrad, headed by the head of the Party’s regional executive committee, Maxim Suvorov.
This was stated by Secretary of the General Council of United Russia, Vice-Speaker of the Federation Council Andrei Turchak, speaking at the plenary meeting of the international conference of United Russia, “Prospects and Opportunities for Strengthening Security and Cooperation in Europe,” which is being held in Kaliningrad.
This is an opportunity to inform that the Party decided to intensify the work in this important area, to form an international party security center in Kaliningrad, the westernmost region of the Russian Federation, which will be headed by the head of the Party’s regional executive committee, Maxim Suvorov. The center will work with European countries.
The first such center was opened this spring in Vladivostok, and has already managed to establish itself well in the Asia-Pacific region.
“The Russian Federation and its leading political force, United Russia, will do everything in our power to ensure genuine peace, reliable security and mutually beneficial cooperation both in Europe and in the world as a whole.”
On September 27 in Kaliningrad, the international conference "Prospects and Opportunities for Strengthening Security and Cooperation in Europe" was held. More than 70 youth representatives from more than 30 European countries took part in it.

Representatives of 30 countries: Azerbaijan and Armenia, Bulgaria and Belarus, Great Britain and Denmark, Spain and Italy, Cyprus, Serbia, France and others became participants in the conference “Prospects and Opportunities for Strengthening Security and Cooperation in Europe”.
The conference was opened by the First Deputy Governor of the Kaliningrad Region Alexei Rodin. Welcoming remarks were made by Secretary of the General Council of the United Russia Party Andrei Turchak.

Kaliningrad was chosen as a convenient site in the west of the country, taking into account the convenient geographical position of the region. The center will be an opportunity for foreign young politicians to get acquainted with Russia.
Turchak noted that such centers are planned to be opened in all extreme areas of the country.
The party will open such centers at different ends of the Russian Federation precisely as communication platforms in terms of international security dialogue.
Such sites could also help establish international inter-party ties.
The international conference "Prospects and Opportunities for Strengthening Security and Cooperation in Europe" was being held on September 27 in Kaliningrad at the site of the Museum of the World Ocean. The forum was attended by over 150 representatives of political parties from 30 European countries.
Following the forum, it is planned to adopt a memorandum that will be devoted to issues of non-interference in the internal affairs of sovereign states.
Nicholas Cobb, Chairman of the Westminster Russia Forum, member of the Presidium and consultant on international relations with the United Kingdom of the National Civil Committee for Cooperation with Law Enforcement, Legislative and Judicial Bodies of the Russian Federation, gave a speech on building a positive image of Russia in the field of ensuring national security of the country and expressed hope for productive engagement on international security issues between the UK and Russia. Cobb also mentioned the importance of Civic diplomacy in the development of international security issues and stated that mutual cooperation between countries in security dialogue will move bilateral relations to the positive level and will get Russia and UK close to each other.
