A young man loved one girl very much and wanted to marry her. But here, they take him to war, and he says to his beloved:
- Don't marry someone else, I'll be back soon, and we'll get married.
And so that no one would know about their love, the young man called the girl Coconut Palm, and she called him Coconut Nut. They said goodbye to each other, crying bitterly, and the young man went to war. A lot of bridegrooms were married to the girl, but she refused everything, waiting for her loved one. So passed a few years, and her father tells her to get married: stop, they say, picky enough.
Nothing to do, she had to submit to.
The day of the wedding came, and just that day the young man returned from the war. He started asking about his beloved one and found out that she was getting married today. The young man was very saddened and did not even eat. The Indian servant noticed and asked why he was so sad. The young man told him of his grief, and the latter told him:
-Don't be sad, my lord, trust me, I will arrange everything.
And in the yard of the house where the girl lived, there was a tree growing. Under this tree, the young man came to talk to his beloved one day. The servant told him to hide under him and promised him that the girl would definitely come there. He did so, and the Indian went to the bride's house.
It was already full of guests, the bride and groom were dressed, and everything was ready for the wedding. We were waiting only for the priest. Here the Indian asked permission to congratulate the bride, came up to her and sang:
I came to you from the war,
Is this the end of hope?
The palm is waiting for its nut
Where I've waited before.
Everyone slammed their hands and shouted:
- Bravo, Indian, sing the other one!
The Indian sang another verse:
All the drinks are tasty
Alois, I'll tell you the honor;
The palm is waiting for its walnut
Same time, same place.
The guests were noisy:
- Have a nice meal, Indian! Sing again! The Indian rejoiced and sang:
-Are you happy with someone else?
Or have you forgotten everything?
Palma, Palma, your Walnut
He misses his sweetness.
Here the bride jumped up - she was thirsty - and out the door. She slipped quietly into the yard and ran straight to the tree where she had come to talk to her beloved. He was the only one in her heart. She rushed into the arms of her dear, and then the priest came up: the young man talked to him in advance. He married the bride and groom, and they lived happily ever after.
