There are moments in life when you are lost, you can not choose the right path and waiting for clues. At such moments, it is useful to look into the depths of your own subconscious to understand and reveal all your hidden desires. Today we have a guest post from Natalia Chatwho, specialist on work with Metaphoric associative cards (MAC) and coach of the women's club "Road to joy", which will acquaint us with techniques of finding your purpose.
There are many effective techniques that allow you to find an idea and learn your purpose. I want to share just a few that have helped me. After all, the search for business for the soul is an individual process. Someone understands what they want to do after a single exercise or coaching session. And someone like me keeps looking for himself further.
Techniques to find your purpose
I recommend to perform all exercises in writing and preferably immediately after reading. Doing the exercise "in mind" does not count.
The goal of all these tasks is the same-to understand what you really want and love to do. And so much so that they are ready to do it constantly, overcoming difficulties. If you do what you like with love and hard work, in the end it will bring you money.
Perform tasks easily and treat them as a game, with a grain of humor. Don't take them too seriously! But at the same time write down all the thoughts that will come to you.
Exercise " Fact»
You need to finish the sentences that are written below. Write answers by hand and quickly, without hesitation.

I was born in a town / village…
I'm ...
My favorite thing…
My purpose in life…
Exercise " Masterpiece»
Imagine that you are on the island in captivity of the cruel local population. The head of the tribe promised that he would let you go if you leave him a masterpiece.
What can you offer him? What can affect the tribe? What do you do best? What was your first thought?
Exercise " Fear»
Feel what you want so that it's scary even thinking about that fantasy or dream. My knees shook. When the heart sinks into the heels.
Launch your project? Make a movie? Open your own clinic? Teach? Participate in the regatta?
Write down your 3 main fears associated with dreams and desires.
Now think what would happen if you did? What happens if you don't?
Write down your answers.
If at this very moment you realize that this is the main thing you want in life or dreamed about it since childhood, take a sheet of paper and write a receipt.
RECEIPT: "I, name, take responsibility for my life. From now on, I make my own life." Date, signature
When, a few years after writing such a receipt, I found a piece of paper, my feelings were mixed: surprise that the wish came true; gratitude; joy and a feeling that I'm a little witch. 🙂
Exercise " Ask your friends, colleagues and friends»
There are several variations of this exercise.
In option 1, you can send your friends a list of questions with a request to answer them:
What do you think people usually ask me?
Do I have knowledge that other people want?
What difficulties in life, from your point of view, I successfully overcame?
Have I succeeded in something where others have failed?
What can I do for you?
What service could you even pay me for?
Or use the 2nd option, in which you ask your friends just one question: "What would they lose if they did not meet you in their lives?»
Prepare for the fact that some people will laugh off or remain silent. But among the answers you are likely to learn something new about yourself. Write down everything that according to friends distinguishes you from the crowd. This will be the key phrase to understanding your purpose.
Exercise " my kind and I»
Remember or ask your parents, what is the cause of life, a great goal, vocation, talent were your grandmother, grandfather, great-grandmother and great-grandfather?Try to try this way for yourself. Would you like to live such a life? What do you want?"
Now turn on your imagination and tell the 70-year-old about yourself on behalf of your grandchildren. What made their grandmother that you loved, what laughing, what was memorable?
Don't forget to write it down!
Exercise " Observer»
It's a full-day assignment. Prepare a pen and a notebook in which you will record literally every moment of your day. Spend one day of your life for the sake of subsequent insights!
From the moment of awakening, just open your eyes, write down: what did you think or regret? We looked out the window-what are you dreaming about? Washed-and thought about what? Heard the news – what focused attention? Watched a movie – when the heart sank? What did you feel when you remembered your old job?
In the days that follow, as you reread what you have written, evaluate as a bystander what you like, what you talk about with enthusiasm, what your thoughts constantly return to, what brings true joy.
The activity "Search strengths»
Prepare the drawing Board and colored pens. Divide the paper into 4 columns by vertical lines.
1st column: your knowledge and skills.
Write down favorite bright color all that you know and know how. Without assessing the level of ownership. For example, to drive a car, knit, establish contacts, invent fairy tales, speak English, search for information on the Internet. Write everything, turning off the inner critic.
2nd column: favorite things and Hobbies.
Write down what you like to do in your free time. And also what would you like to do. Remember everything you dreamed of as a child. For example, to ride horses, model clothes, teach yoga, travel around the world and write a book. Take another colored pen and write.
Column 3: what do people want from you?
Think about how you can be useful to others. Children, parents, men, children, pensioners, students, nodding friends. How can you improve people's lives, what comfort can you give them? Write down in a different color everything that comes to mind.
Column 4: what resources do you have?
It can be information, internal, material or time resources. Record all your resources with a new color.
List analysis.
Now from the 1st column, select the most exciting activity for you. Pick up to him the actions that you would like to do from the 2nd column. To them pick up from the 3rd column the need of other people that you will satisfy. And from the 4th column, select the resources that will help you with this.
Thus, create 3 chains-cases, from which you can already choose one. Or keep all three. Don't choose an occupation for the rest of your life. Play! The goal is to find something that will inspire and ignite you. Do not dismiss as untenable any ideas ahead of time.
Exercise " Routine»
So, you have chosen at least one direction in which you want to develop. Perhaps even understand, what is your life's work. In other words, you have found an activity that you will do regularly (well, with small breaks for downturns) with pleasure and excitement. We understand that in any case, daily work has not been canceled.
If the idea inspires you, you will not look for excuses, and will overcome obstacles. If the case pleases you, you will be able to give it entirely. And over time, the business will begin to bring you pleasure, and then income.
Think about what your routine will consist of? Imagine that you have to do this every day many times. Are you sure you want to do this every day? If so, I congratulate you on the fact that you have found your favorite thing!
