And so I decided to make several posts about moving to Turkey for a long stay, from the position of a freelancer. Perhaps, this information will be useful and interesting for someone. I'm Russia women and two children. And at some point. We realized that we do not want to live in our homeland, tired of the cold. And we want to live in the sea. And away from everyone : Serious work was done to find a suitable country. During our search, no migration site recommended Turkey. New Zealand, Europe, USA, Japan were suggested as the optimal directions. But we poor people are not very rich, and moving to these countries is very expensive. It was in January, we remembered last year's vacation in a Turkish hotel, and it hit us... In general, we dug up all the necessary information and started to prepare for moving. Therefore, I want to create several posts, where I will share my experience of moving to Turkey, tell about the prices for housing and food. Share the nuances and tell about the pitfalls of life in this beautiful country (spoiler!). All exclusively on our experience. Why Turkey? First of all, I would like to explain that we chose Izmir as our hometown. Izmir is a resort on the shores of the Aegean Sea. Six months of summer, inexpensive rooms, and goods, as well as a huge selection of attractions for all tastes. Turkey attracted us, first of all, by two factors: 1. The possibility of obtaining a long-term rental permit for an apartment based on long-term rental. (first of all) 2. The cost of renting an apartment is at the level of the Russian province. And we are conceived, if you can live by the sea for the same money, what are we waiting for))) Let's go! Let's go! I'll start by renting an apartment.
Izmir has a very developed real estate business, the competition is crazy. Still at home, I looked at many sites and contacted various real estate agents, who arranged "an auction" for the best offer between them. The first difficulty: here the client's reaction rate is almost zero. Especially if you are not a buyer.
Found a realtor through a friend of a resident of Izmir, and, after 5 reminders of himself, still picked up a few options.
Immediately after that, airline tickets were purchased, as well as tickets for the trip. Upon arrival, we were met with a transfer for $20 (ordered from a realtor), and we went to the place of rent. Having met with the realtor, we picked up the optimal housing, and also together with him changed the money and bought the connection (about then) The cost of apartments starts from 800 lire (ordinary apartments 1 +1) and higher, depending on what area of what infrastructure and from what house is available: Swimming pool, sauna, hammam, gym, garbage collection from under the door, well-groomed area with pavilions and barbecues, of course, in good houses, and Aydat-(as well as rental housing). I would like to add that in Turkey there is no heating, no dogs (bourgeois oven type) or air conditioning, or electric heating, or floor heating, and the price depends on it as well. There were many questions: how to move to Turkey to work. Honestly, I don't officially work without millions of rich parents or sponsors. I can only guess and share information from reliable sources and my experience. Life in Russia
Features of the Russian diaspora in Turkey
In recent years, more and more people in the CIS countries have chosen Turkey as their home country. Our compatriots are becoming more and more, so the country is gradually forming a large Russian diaspora. The local embassy of the Russian Federation also contributes to its organization.
The largest of them is in Antalya. There is a cultural center for people who do not want to lose touch with their native land. People are friendly and happy to meet new people. There are even Russian-language schools and kindergartens.
- Where do Russian immigrants live : In most cases, our compatriots prefer to live either in big cities or in popular places. Most often you can meet people from Russia in the following settlements:
Istanbu(historical Stalitsa). Ankara (the capital). Antalya (tourist resort) Izmir (Port City). Loyalty (the most Russian city). Mahmutlar (place for Russian and neighboring countries).
