Labutenants and delightful trousers: how the video "Exhibit" was filmed

Оглавление

To date, the video "Exhibit" of the group "Leningrad" has been watched by about 127 million people. And every day this number only increases. And the main words of the song: "On the labutenas and in delightful pants" come from every cafe. What is the secret to the popularity of this video?

At the Van Gogh exhibition, I'm a valuable exhibit

Even at the stage of the origin of cinema psychotherapists concluded that this type of art will always be in demand among viewers for two reasons. Firstly, the effect of voyeurism works in the cinema. In this context, it was about the desire of people to peep "in the keyhole for the lives of others. Secondly, the moment of identification is always important, when a person identifies himself with the hero of the film. In the video "Exhibit" of the Leningrad group, which was made as a full-fledged film with all the elements of the development of dramaturgy, two of these rules worked at once. After all, many girls involuntarily compared themselves to the heroine of the video, which dreams of repeating the story of Cinderella, but it does not look like her.

Recall, the main character of the video is going on a date all day, to the Van Gogh exhibition. And in order to impress the wealthy groom, he asks her friend to lend her labutens... If someone does not know, this name was given to the shoes by designer Christian Louboutin. The distinctive features of these shoes are red soles, handmade lace, Swarovski rhinestones, and exotic leather.

What are the interiors talking about

The action of the clip "Exhibit" takes place in the interiors of an ordinary St. Petersburg apartment. Video director Anna Parnassus has comprehended each frame of her work. And it is by the interiors of this house, which is difficult to attribute to any style, we can say a lot about the character of the heroine. By the way, the interiors of the apartment and office of 700 square meters were recreated at the Lenfilm studio.

Pay attention to the abundance of soft toys decorating the shelves, lying on the floor, standing next to the mirror. It seems that the heroine is still not out of childhood.

And the duck in her bathroom is a separate story in general (although the huge polar bear, of course, is sympathetic).

Another detail the artists emphasized was a photograph of Victoria Beckham on the wall (Victoria is known to be a fan of the Louboutin brand). The creators of the video told us that the viewer actually sees the body of the performer Yulia Topolnitskaya with Victoria Beckham's head attached to it. And, of course, the abundance of wires on the door jamb is striking - a sign that speaks about the infantilism of the main character (or the absence of a man in her life), who is unable to solve their everyday problems independently and hoping for a successful marriage. Her mother in leopard elk, which is perceived in the mass consciousness as a symbol of tastelessness, also makes a strong impression.

To summarize, the main character of the clip "Exhibit" is a girl who dreams of getting out of the mud in the prince, but has no reason to do so: no material status (pay attention again to the interiors of the apartment with ripped off wallpaper), no education (remember her answer about the "bed colors" to the question of the groom, in what styles she works as an artist), no taste. The attentive viewer, of course, has realized that the video's plot of the Labutenes was not real. Their soles are clearly repainted carefully by someone. Not without reason the creators of the brand Christian Louboutin repeatedly complained about the abundance of fakes of their "fancy" shoes.

Admiring the boutiques

But let's imagine for a moment that this Labutenan fan got... no, not to the Van Gogh exhibition, but to the boutiques of the real Christian Labuten, the closest of which is in Moscow. And the first thing she would see in the center of the hall is a fresco by the artist Boris Delchev. There would be a conversation about painting, which the heroine could not support. But in order to immediately move to another topic, she would suggest the groom go to the second floor, where were presented models of shoes made of rare leather with rhinestones. The heroine's imagination would have played out with new strength.

Looking at this splendor, she would have moved to London, where the interiors of Christian Louboutin's boutique resemble theatrical scenery and a bright fairy tale thanks to the openwork arches and shelves with elegant shoes and handbags.

Or, at the worst, a boutique in Tokyo's boutique is to admire the bizarre decoration of the showcases with highly reflective surfaces.
