Китайская компания Bitmain представила новый 7-нанометровый ASIC-чип, который получил название BM1397. Данный чип ориентирован на работу с алгоритмом SHA256 (в первую очередь для таких криптовалют как биткоин и Bitcoin Cash). Об этом компания заявила. В своем блоге в Твиттере.

По словам представителей компании, новинка потребляет примерно на 28.6% меньше энергии, чем предыдущий чип.

Стоит отметить, что BM1397 построен на базе 7-нанометрового FinFET-процессора тайваньской компании TSMC.

Согласно некоторым данным, именно этот чип получат новые устройства от Bitmain – S17 и T17, которые будут представлены в ближайшие несколько недель.
