1. Make it pleasant and interesting
English is not necessarily about grammar and exercises,It's also about reading, writing and listening. And when it comes to it, you have a million different options. Saying "options", I'm talking about resources you can use.
If you like detectives - read detectives in English. You like fantasy? If so - read fantasy, it's up to you. You don't like to read and prefer watching films? Download your favourite movie and English subtitles for it. If you like politics, find political news, shows on CNN, BBC , RT etc.
What you need is to connect your English lessons with things you love, after it the process of studying will get more pleasant and as a result, you'll be more interested in it.
2. Reading and listening
Before you begin writing and speaking you need a lot of reading and listening. These processes are kind of natural, because before you do something yourself, you want to see how it's done. When reading and listening you see and hear the same, repeated words, their position in sentences , word order etc. which helps you on the one hand learn new words and on the other hand instinctively study English grammar. Actually, we learn to speak our own language just by listening for a definite period of time. Little kids first listen and listen and listen and then once just start to speak even though nobody explains grammar to them. So, reading and listening are powerful tools, the more you use it, the faster you'll begin to speak.
3. Don't be afraid to make mistakes
Some students feel shy of their English just because they make mistakes, some don't even try to speak for that reason. If you're one of the very guys - strugle with that fear. It won't help you at all.
Remember one rule: mistakes are the first step to good English. If you make them, you can learn from it. If you keep silent and don't mistake, you don't learn. If somebody near you participates in English conversation even making mistakes, he improves, at the same time if you in this case stay silent, you don't improve. It's simple.
