Marimekko. Marimekko - Finnish design company. For many, the name of the company Marimekko has become synonymous with the word "design". Bright multi-colored drawings, which the company demonstrated during its debut in 1951 and still produces, reflected a completely new, original direction in the field of clothing and decor. Today, pedestrian reflectors are products that embody the most daring design ideas and are very popular, especially in winter in the Nordic countries. They can be worn in the form of a bracelet, attached to jackets, backpacks or baby strollers. There are even collars with reflectors for pets.
Linux. Finland is characterized by the rapid penetration of new ideas emerging in the field of design into commercial spheres, into communications and services, into digital design and social networks. For example, the most popular free open source operating system was developed by Linus Torvalds in 1991, even before it became clear that in the world of the future it would be impossible to do without cooperation and the free flow of information.
Angry Birds. Rovio Entertainment’s Angry Birds video game has become one of the most popular mobile applications in the world. It is compatible with all platforms, over a billion users have already downloaded it, and children of different ages play it with pleasure. (By the way, it is possible that the Clash of Clans game of another Finnish company Supercell will be able to surpass the success of Angry Birds.)
