If you have ever had a problem with an application crashing, you have already seen this message «Unfortunately, Instagram has stopped» or it can be any other app, for example Skype or Viber. Any app can manifestly lack from this sort of luck and send you the same message again and again.
Solutions
1. Try to clear app's storage
2. Reload your device
3. Check your SD card (if you have any)
4. Uninstall and reinstall the app
5. Last chance: factory reset
First: try to clear storage
This can happen if the app works with contacts, gallery, launcher apps. The way of coping with it is quite ordinary:
- open Settings on your phone
- open now Apps and Notifications then App info
- choose the app which has an error
- next click Storage
- here you can empty your data and cache.
When you clear your cache, you will dispose of saved data and this app will work a little slower, because you've just destroyed data which helped it to start faster, but it can resolve your problem.
When you clear your data, you will empty all files, settings, and accounts. So be careful with this solution.
Turn off and turn on – easy and safe
Just restart your device, it often helps in strange situations like this. Actually it is a good idea to do it sometimes to prevent different failures. When your telephone is on for a long time it can become sluggish because of various mistakes. A soft reset can solve many headaches.
Check your SD card (if you have any)
Your SD card can cause this problem and many others. So if it is a corrupted memory card then any app that works with data on it will have problems.
You can check it easily by taking out the card and launching the app that doesn't work. If this is the reason for all those crushes then you'll need a new one.
Uninstall and reinstall the app
You can try to uninstall the app and then reinstall it from Play Store. Just open the Play Store, open the menu bar on the left side, choose My apps and games. Select the app which causes prob and hit Uninstall. In the end you can install it again.
Last chance: factory reset
If all the solutions above have failed to help you, then you can do factory reset. This will clear all your data from the phone, so it's better to do back up. A factory reset will empty everything including bugs. But you can reinstall all your data if you've made a back up.
