Nazi reconnaissance aircraft Junkers Ju-88 (Ju 88) from Luftwaffe with the code F6 + AK (number 0285) was shot down July 25, 1941 by Soviet pilots of the 3rd Fighter Air Corps about Istria and made an emergency landing in a forest glade. Five days later, Junkers Ju-88 reconnaissance aircraft taken out and installed on Sverdlov Square (now Theater Square) in Moscow.
Junkers Ju-88 reconnaissance aircraft belonged to the 2nd far-reconnaissance squadron of the 122 th Intelligence Group (2.(F)/122) from the Luftwaffe made a reconnaissance flight to Moscow-Kaluga region.
