Blue Line – a line of German army fortifications on the Taman peninsula. Availability 400,000th military groups and shortened front line allowed the German army to create here a very tight defense. The fighting here lasted from February to September 1943, while the last German army were evacuated to the Crimea.Killed German army soldiers in the Blue Line fortifications.
For the liberation of the Taman Peninsula 2 Guards Infantry Division of the Red Army 9 October 1943 he received the honorary title of “Taman”.
