English is a piece of cake!

Hey! Do you like TV-shows as I do?

How about I give you my list of good series and you give me yours?

1. Little Fires Everywhere. 1 season, 8 episodes.

The series stars Reese Witherspoon and Kerry Washington. Set in the Cleveland suburb of Shaker Heights, Ohio during the late 1990s, it features Witherspoon and Washington as mothers from different socioeconomic backgrounds.

In the very end, I didn't know which side to take. Life is so complicated...

2. Big Little Lies. 2 seasons, 14 episodes.

It is based on the 2014 novel of the same name by Liane Moriarty. This series tells the story of five women in Monterey, California who become embroiled in a murder investigation.

I like how different all the women are here. I liked the plot. Till the very end, you don't know the answer. It's a drama and a detective story at the same time.

-3

3. Modern Love. 1 season, 8 episodes.

It is an American romantic comedy anthology tv-series, based on the weekly column published by The New York Times. Modern Love explores "love in its multitude of forms – including sexual, romantic, familial, platonic, and self-love," which are presented in eight half-hour episodes.

4. Elementary. 7 seasons. (I'm watching the 3rd now). 24 episodes per season.

A modern take on the cases of Sherlock Holmes, with the detective now living in New York City. Here you'll find Watson as a woman and she is Sherlock's 'sober companion'. Together they assist the NYPD, where Holmes' observational abilities and deductive talent unravel a series of complicated cases.

Funny thing: Sherlock speaks British English, others speak American. Sherlock has a very interesting manner of speaking.

5. Doctor Who with David Tennant. 3 seasons (2-4 seasons + Specials).

Doctor Who is a British science-fiction tv program produced by the BBC since 1963. It depicts the adventures of a Time Lord called "the Doctor", an extraterrestrial being, to all appearances human. The Doctor explores the universe in a time-traveling space ship called the TARDIS. Its exterior appears as a blue British police box, which was a common sight in Britain in 1963 when the series first aired.

David Tennant is the one and only Doctor which I like. He is The Tenth Doctor. He is charming, energetic, friendly, and crazy at the same time. I like the way he speaks. Blimey!!!

6. Good Omens. 1 season, 6 episodes.

Yes, with David Tennant. It is based on the 1990 novel of the same name by Terry Pratchett and Neil Gaiman. The series follows the demon Crowley and the angel Aziraphale, longtime acquaintances who, having grown accustomed to life on Earth as representatives of Heaven and Hell, seek to prevent the coming of the Antichrist and with it Armageddon, the final battle between Heaven and Hell.

It's as good as a book! Michael Sheen and David Tennant are brilliant here!

7. The boys. 2 seasons, 16 episodes.

It is an American superhero tv-series based on the comic book of the same name. Irreverent, deliciously cynical, The Boys follows the greed and corruption behind the superhero industrial complex. This TV-show could be a thrilling ride as it subverts the expectations of the family-friendly genre, with dark twists and unapologetically graphic scenes of sex and violence.

-8

8. The Umbrella Academy. 2 seasons, 20 episodes.

It is also an American superhero tv-series based on the comic book. It revolves around a dysfunctional family of adopted sibling superheroes who reunite to solve the mystery of their father's death and the threat of an impending apocalypse. All the siblings are really different with their own story, tragedy, fears, feeling, and hopes. Loved the way superheroes are shown here.

-9

9. The Mandalorian. 1 season, 8 episodes.

It is an American space western. Set five years after the events of Return of the Jedi, it follows the title character, a Mandalorian bounty hunter named Din Djarin, and his exploits beyond the reaches of the New Republic.

If you like the good old Star Wars this tv-show is for you!

-10

10. True detective. 3 seasons, 24 episodes.

True Detective is an American anthology crime drama tv-series. Each season of the series is structured as a self-contained narrative, employing new cast ensembles, and following various sets of characters and settings. If you like drama and detective stories it's highly recommended!

11. Westworld. 1st season only. 3 seasons, 28 episodes

It is an American science fiction Western and dystopian tv-series. The story begins in Westworld, a fictional, technologically advanced Wild-West-themed amusement park populated by android "hosts". The park caters to high-paying "guests" who may indulge their wildest fantasies within the park without fear of retaliation from the hosts, who are prevented by their programming from harming humans.

I really liked the idea of the first season and can recommend it. Second one has a too twisted plot. It’s hard to follow it. Don’t know about the third one. Maybe it’s good.

-12

12. The Alienist. 2 seasons, 18 episodes.

It is an American period drama television series based on the 1994 novel of the same name.

I watched only the first season. It is set in 1896 when a series of gruesome murders of boy prostitutes has gripped New York City. Newly appointed police commissioner Teddy Roosevelt calls upon Dr. Laszlo Kreizler, a criminal psychologist, and John Moore, a newspaper illustrator, to conduct the investigation in secret. Joining them in the probe is Sara Howard, Roosevelt's headstrong secretary, as well as twin brothers Marcus and Lucius Isaacson, both detective sergeants in the New York City Police Department (NYPD).

You’ve already noticed that I like detective stories, dramas, and a good plot. I would say everything is presented here. The atmosphere of the movie is a little dark and it helps to be fully engaged.

That's it for now. Waiting for your recommendations!
