iPhone 12 - worth buying?

Every autumn the presentation of the new version of iPhone is becoming a big event being discussed by whole tech community. Everybody knows about iPhone's price. Consequently, the main question everybody tends to discuss is about whether it is worth buying it.

A new feature which has been promoted by Apple's big cheese, Tim Cook, is 5G-technology. This is the new technology of data transmission providing incredible speed. However, there is a bit of places in the world that can support this technology. E.g. in Russia frequencies of 5G-networks are used by military forces, so no one knows when they will be able to cede it to civil exploitation. In addition to this, usage of 5G expends battery's charge very fast. It might have become a "killer-feature" but, obviously, Apple implemented this technology into their devices too early.

MagSafe - another feature. This is a wireless charging connector for new iPhones. It connects to central part of the devices providing the best charging speed. Yes, it's really technological and convenient but on the other hand, it's being sold separately for high price. Apple hence educates people to break the habit of using wire chargers.

One more thing is the absence of power supply unit and the EarPods in the set of delivery. Accordingly, customers will have to further buy it. This is a real pain in the neck for those who plans to buy iPhone 12 as their first smartphone. Apple explains it as ecological consideration - if they produce less products, the carbon footprint reduces. Nevertheless, they equip new iPads with power supply units¯\_(ツ)_/¯. In fact, this is just a hidden price increase - savings on parts and logistics.

As a result, the question of buying new iPhone is very personal. Apple offers a broad range of devices and iPhone 12 is absolutely not a necessary upgrade if you have at least iPhone 10. So the answer depends on your wallet. And you should always remember that the best device is the one that lies in your pocket.
