KV-1 (Klim Voroshilov) – Soviet heavy tank of World War II. It is usually referred to simply as «KV»: heavy tank was created under the same name, and only later, after the appearance of the tank KV-2, KV retrospectively from the first model got a digital code. KV-1 heavy tank manufactured from August 1939 to August 1942. KV-1 heavy tank took part in the war against Finland (the Winter War of 1939-1940) and World War II.
