As a rule, each color causes certain sensations and is associated with something. Each nation has its own ideas about the meaning of colors.
In many countries, white, for example, means purity, innocence, sinlessness, solemnity, but in the East it symbolizes mourning, sorrow, illness. Many residents of China, India and Japan do not understand why Europeans choose white wedding dresses for such a joyful event as a wedding.
At the same time, black color in the East has only a positive meaning, it personifies love, happy marriage and family happiness, healthy sleep and tranquility. In America and Europe, it is this color that is considered mourning and symbolizes evil, sorrow, misfortune, destruction and death.
For the peoples of the Far East, red is a symbol of love, exalted feelings, birth and life. In France, red is the color of aristocrats, which is very surprising to the Egyptians, since they associate it with mourning. In Japan, as in the United States, red symbolizes danger, a terrorist threat, which the Chinese cannot understand, because for them it is the color of happiness. Characters in Japanese cartoons blush a lot when they are angry about something, and this is because it is red that the Japanese denote anger and rage.
In America, yellow represents cowardice, while in China, India and Japan it is associated with all the most positive, as it reminds the inhabitants of these countries of the sun and gold. In Japan, yellow is a symbol of grace , in India it is the color of luck, and among the Chinese it is the color of wealth and happiness. Among the Slavic peoples, yellow is considered the color of jealousy and betrayal.
Interestingly, in America, security is symbolized by green, which the French absolutely disagree with, for whom this color is inextricably linked with crime.
In almost all countries, pink is associated with romance and tender feelings. For Koreans, pink, along with other pastel colors, also denotes goodness, trust and stability.
Americans associate blue with masculinity, stability, while in Japan it means meanness and fraud. In Egypt, this color personifies truth and virtue, and among the Slavs it serves as a symbol of sadness.
Overall, I would recommend to do a little research before going somewhere to the East as the colors there are mostly opposite comparing to the other countries.
