Theme: Are famous people treated unfairly by the media? Should they be given more privacy or is the price of their fame an invasion into their lives?
The audience has always avidly scrutinized the personal life of permanent people, exposing both lifestyle as well as other details, which related their surroundings and circumstances.
Thrilled by the opportunity to learn more about celebrity’s private life, the public ultimately demanded more valid information about renowned figures, thereby encouraging journalist and reporters to investigate luminaries’ way of living much more thoroughly. However, the action of Massa Media, regarding illustrious individuals were questioned and became arguable in some respects. Personally, I think that the Media should allow celebrities more freedom in their private live.
It is certainly to say that each person has a great interest in her or his idols lifestyle or any other similar information, and thus he or she will elaborately or in some cases even desperately find every specific aspect of luminary’s way of living. As a result, the news about renowned individuals nearly constantly hit the headlines in the newspapers because of an evident reason: the public’s hunger for data on celebrities’ life. However, it does not appear to be the only impetus for the Media to reveal the details of famous figure’s private life. Another incentive that has to be considered as well is the huge income, which can be obtained from reporter’s activities. Since the materials referring to the luminaries, it has been remaining relevant and trustworthy for a long period in history, and even at present time continue to be actual, pose a valuable source of revenue for journalists. Reporters’ activities with regard to prominent personages nonetheless, tend to be obtrusive occasionally, in addition, depriving them of their rights of personal life. Therefore, excessive amount of attention from press operators’ impinging on the independence of illustrious figures can be considered as inequitable and unjust actions, because every human being has a right of confidential life regardless it is a luminary or regular person.
One should also note that, it is generally acknowledged the prominent figures in society are particularly extraordinary individuals who are able to endure any hardships including the enormous onslaught of reporters. Whereas the audience has a strong belief in that view, in reality, the luminaries prove to be identical as to the usual people. In comparison with the common man, the renowned person must be invariably aware of his or her own moves or steps, especially in public, as he or she is being constantly observed by the Mass Media. As a matter of fact, the celebrities have primary and widespread concern-the notorious anxiety on social opinion. Consequently, the famous individuals must control their activities on public as well as restrain themselves from unnecessary actions that may destroy the audience’s standards and views. In terms of the behavior in society, so called “stars” cannot allow themselves to act freely in community due to the exceeding concentration on their lives from reporters’ side. Therefore, the glory itself costs numerous sacrifices, and the media cannot divest the celebrities of rudimentary but important right of confidential life.
In conclusion, it is recognized that the private life of famous individuals is regularly being exposed to the social observation by the media. Moreover, in my opinion, the investigation practices in the celebrities’ lives are unjust in terms of the elemental rights of any person, regarding confidential life. Besides, there are a lot of requirements for a renowned person to undertake, which himself or herself only prove to be a great cost of their fame.
