It is situated in the original park of the Knuthenborg Estate in Maribo on Lolland. We enter the park through the gates where animals greet the visitors.
The safari park has divided the animals into different sections according to the continent they come from.
Tiger enclosure where you we drive right through their living area is a unique experience. Tigers are so close and they are free to walk! Not far from the tigers there is another area with predators, Arctic wolves or white wolves live in packs but sometimes they enjoy being on their own.
Giraffes are curious what visitors are doing. Most of the time they do not pay any attention to the people around. They just walk with dignity or are busy with their own things.
Rhinoceros look peaceful in distance but I do not dare to approach them
Monkey enclosure arouses a lot of attention, it is really amazing to watch monkeys with their vivid expressions and gestures.
Camels ignore visitors, their main concern is getting food.
These giants look quite dangerous even in distance.
Comparatively small enclosure with Australian fauna.
Now we are on a pasture
I can't miss this pheasant which was standing there with an air of importance
This safari park is really an amazing experience. I like the idea of animals being free to walk so they are practically in their natural environment, limited to some extent, of course. They looked quite healthy and well-fed, some of them showed interest in people passing them but mostly paying no attention, probably having got used to visitors.
