Cambodian landmine museum is one of important places that tourists should not miss out while visiting Angkor temples. It is located along the way to Banteay Srei temple, around 30km away from central Siem Reap. It is an educational museum where tourists learn about the dangers of landmines, where they came from, who laid them, how they work, and their presence in Cambodia. The museum staff strives to educate our visitors of the importance of clearing landmines in Cambodia. With potentially 5,000,000 still in the ground, landmines have immensely impacted the history and culture of this amazing society. The collection of thousands of landmines is impressive. What is even more impressive is the story of the one Khmer man, Aki Ra, who disarmed the majority of these landmines alone. Hours of Operation
