1) RIPTIDE - ВОДОВОРОТ
- a dangerous area of strongly moving water in the sea, where two or more currents (= water moving in a particular direction) meet:
The riptide was pulling a surfer under.
- a strong negative feeling or force that is difficult to control:
Warnings about terror attacks sent a riptide of anxiety through the nation.

2) TO BE SCARED OF SOMETHING - БОЯТЬСЯ ЧЕГО-ЛИБО/КОГО-ЛИБО
-He's scared of spiders.
-I'm scared of telling her what really happened.
3) CONVERSATION - БЕСЕДА, РАЗГОВОР, ПЕРЕГОВОРЫ
- (a) talk between two or more people in which thoughts, feelings, and ideas are expressed, questions are asked and answered, or news and information is exchanged:
She had a strange conversation with the man who moved in upstairs. It's impossible to hold/carry on a conversation with all this noise going on!
4) TO GO/TURN GREEN - ПОЗЕЛЕНЕТЬ
-to look pale and ill as if you are going to vomit
Look at poor Ann! She has come down with a cold, that is why she is absolutely going green now.
5) MAGICIAN - ВОЛШЕБНИК
-a person who has magic powers in stories, or who performs tricks for entertainment:
Merlin was the magician in the stories of King Arthur and the Knights of the Round Table. There'll be a magician at the kids' Christmas party.
6)TO COME UNSTUCK - НЕ ОСУЩЕСТВИТЬСЯ, ПОЙТИ ПРАХОМ, ПРОВАЛИТЬСЯ
-something planned that goes wrong and is a complete failure, usually in an embarrassing way:
The show was a fiasco - one actor forgot his lines and another fell off the stage.
