Are you one of those who wait hours outside Best Buy or the Apple Store for the newest and greatest cell phone? Here is a list for you. We’ve put together a list of the top smartphones coming out in 2018.

Apple iPhone X – This will be Apple’s new flagship phone for 2018 and is expected to be announced in September. Since it is so far out, rumor is all we have to go on right now. So, here we go – the phone will come with waterproofing protection, a D-jack headphone jack, Touch ID display and possibly edge-to-edge glass. Those are all the rumors. What we are certain about is that the new phone will have an A10 processor and embedded M10 motion co-processor, plus 2 GB of RAM.

Nexus 6 –Unlike the Apple iPhone 7, this phone is already available. The new Nexus 6 will feature a Snapdragon 820 chip, making it more powerful and energy efficient. It is also equipped with the Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0. This is an Android OS based phone and comes loaded with Android N.  Like previous versions will be a large-screen phablet.

HTC One M10 – This phone is expected to be released for sale in March. There should be key improvements in the display, hopefully bringing it to a Quad HD display rather than the full display offered in HTC One A9. We have heard that there will be some key performance enhancements, too. Yet, the rumor mill wasn’t as vocal about this phone as it was about others.

LG G5 – This is LG’s first modular-design smartphone; transforming into a digital camera or Hi-Fi player. This model also has a slide-out battery. One of the innovative features of this
new phone is the two cameras on the rear – one with an extra-wide 135-degree lens. Coming out in February, we now know that the LG G5 uses the Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor, 4GB of RAM, 32 GB of storage, a 2800mAh removable battery and Android Marshmallow.

LG G Flex 2 – This may be one of the most interesting smartphones. Complete with a curved form-factor and material that will automatically heal scratches, a metal body, and a premium design. Of course, these are all rumors because the phone has not been released yet. In addition to all the technology features that LG G5 has, this phone also has a fingerprint scanner and 20.7/8Mp camera.

Microsoft Surface Phone – This phone is not expected to arrive in stores until late 2018, but it is intriguing. It is expected to have a 5.5in Quad-HD AMOLED display, 4 GB of RAM, 64-and 128 GB storage options, a 64 bit Intel processor, and 21 Mp rear- and 8Mp front cameras. The is also rumored to come with a Surface Pen and a USB-C port.

Nextbit Robin – although we are a little cautious about this phone, some of the facts about it are quite interesting. For starters the company that developed this phone is a Kickstarter success story. The firm was founded in 2012 with ex-Android staff in the control seats. The team, as a collective group, previously worked on the G1, Nexus, and HTC One M8 and M8 phones. They obviously have experience.  This is a “cloud-first” smartphone meaning that it optimizes its storage space by moving unused apps and photos to the cloud rather than keep them in the phone memory.  The phone is available at the very reasonable price of $399.

Galaxy S7 Edge – This phone returns with a waterproof exterior and a MicroSD slot. The battery has been bumped up to 3600mAH. The screen is an impressive Quad-HD SuperAMOLED, 5.5in screen. Although the camera has been downgraded to 12Mp, the larger pixels and a f/1.7 aperture allow it to received 95 percent more light.
