Good day to all! Today we will walk along the empty floors of the buildings of the former Strategic Missile Force Academy, located in the very heart of our capital, just a few steps from the Kremlin — right behind the Zaryadye Park, on the Moskva River embankment.
Two or three years ago the academy was transferred to Balashikha, where it was decided to place it on the basis of the Military Technical University of the Ministry of Defense. The land was transferred to the property of the city, after which, along with all the buildings was put up for auction with a number of conditions. In particular, from the future investor it was required to preserve and restore all buildings on the territory, and also to open it for visitors. In the former buildings of the Academy it is planned to host a hotel, apartments and retail areas, and also to connect the resulting complex with the «Zaryadie» park.
From an economic point of view, the place is extremely fat and for business is much better than for training high military personnel … However that may be, from the moment the missilemen moved the buildings, the academies were disconnected from electricity and heating and, in fact, abandoned. At the corner there was a small town of builders «Zaryadya», the territory was taken under sluggish protection by several guards.
Today the photos turned out exactly 80 pieces!
On the first photo — the peak of the porch of the main entrance, on both sides of which ancient guns used to stand. Probably, the guns left for Balashikha together with the academy, as well as with most of the property. Because from the inside the main entrance now looks extremely sad — from the citations cited on the walls of the Decrees, metal letters have been torn off, not only the commemorative busts of the military commanders have disappeared from the pedestals (I suppose that they were there), but also stone decoration. It is good though from the floor and walls the multicolored finish was not ripped off, thanks to what the place could preserve its atmosphere and majesty:
However, the decoration is not so royal, but clearly illustrates the good financing of military institutions.
The main corridors, forks and window openings pleasing with its historicity — around the arches and arches, moldings and all sorts of decorative reliefs.
However, most of the premises are left extremely empty, in some even wired from the ceilings and walls.
In order not to be upset by the vandalism of the wiring earners, we will continue to move along the main corridors.
The farther from the main entrance, the poorer the finish, but still it looks like something between a manor and a museum.
Some corridors impress the height of the opening — 5 meters, not less — with its insignificant width.

Halls and auditorium, in which the warriors managed to preserve the historical entourage, even hanging office lights in the outlets from old chandeliers.
Without spending much time on empty premises, we try to find the maximum number of design elements that survived after the Academy’s relocation — in addition to pre-revolutionary stucco we meet Soviet mosaics.
And such are the titles above the entrances to the chairs and in the audience — in the form of inscriptions and pictures.

This academy also had its own museum, the exhibits of which left for Balashikha after the students — only beautiful but empty rooms were left.

And in the classroom are beginning to come across things that clings to the eye and the camera.

An interesting moment seemed to me that in the whole complex of buildings, in addition to through staircases in the corners and in the hull centers, there are also small staircases connecting secret huts. In particular, here we found ourselves in this curiously decorated room, accidentally stumbling upon a staircase going upstairs in the corner of a corridor.

One of the keys to the wealth of entourage is the Academy’s assembly hall.
It is very cool, and under the ceiling hang chandeliers growing in several human!
In addition to the assembly hall, we also got a couple of halls for showing films — large and smaller — however, they turned out to be uninteresting, and the projectors from the projector premises disappeared. So, after completing a survey of large-scale historic buildings, we went to study hundreds of small rooms.
And in them it was not so empty as in larger ones.
Even in niches under the floor interesting things came across!
The condition of buildings from the standpoint of suitability for restoration raises questions only in places.
Basically, everywhere it’s dry and good, — even the ceilings, tightened with cloth, look cheerful.
Stumbled upon the post of centralization of the clock, hanging along the corridors, on the stairs and in the lecture rooms.

And even a huge gym.
Of course, with such a central location, the building has steep views from the windows and from the roof.
Well, the dungeons, of course. Where without them! Moreover, in historical buildings and historic cellars!
In the basement of the academy it was interesting — but there were no mythical-logical «minus N floors» — only classy vaulted workshops and former warehouses of property.
It was curious to find in the basements of the former weapons rooms and ammunition stores.
Fortunately, they are all absolutely empty.
There was also a refuge with classroom military hermetic doors, but, alas, completely empty and not particularly interesting.
On this inspection was decided to finish, although the buildings still remained unexplored corners :) But the light day has the ability to rapidly turn into a dead of night, and I wanted to spend another evening in some adequate leisure time.
