The exhibition Defexpo India-2018 for the first time presents the latest Russian large-caliber machine SHAK-12, the concern "rostec".
Assault rifle range of 12.7 mm was developed by specialists of the Tula instrument design Bureau by the order of the special forces. Scope of application of the SHAK-12-counter-terrorist operations, during which it is necessary to stop dressed in body armor and drugged criminals, while preserving the lives of hostages (the immediate cause for the creation of weapons were the events in Beslan).
- It is an ideal weapon for counterterrorism and other military operations in the conditions of settlements, buildings, structures, where it is necessary to ensure maximum security of the civilian population. We expect great interest in this development from the special services of foreign countries, - said Sergey Abramov, industrial Director of the Rostec armament cluster.
Ammo SHACK-12 was created with and for him. Large-caliber cartridges possess good stopping action, punch bullet-proof vests and do not ricochet. The weapon uses several types of ammunition for various tasks: with armor piercing bullet , shell, supersonic Lite, with two and three bullets.
The machine is made according to the scheme bullpup, the device and circuit automation classified. The weapon is equipped with Picatinny rails for mounting additional equipment, there is an option with an integrated drum-type grenade launcher. It also envisages the installation of a silencer.
Assault machine included in the equipment of Russian anti-terror groups.
