What tactical changes can Zidane make?

Real Madrid need a change. With PSG's upcoming visit next month to the Bernabeu, Zinedine Zidane must find the solution to stop making his team predictable. But what changes can Zidane make?

Asensio for Casemiro and high pressure

-2

Without Casemiro and with Marco Asensio, Madrid would naturally gain a step forward in terms of pressure, in addition to gaining speed on the attack. The best version of Los Blancos this season was seen in the second leg of the Supercopa de Espana as well as their LaLiga match against Sevilla. In both duels, Asensio was present in the line-up while Casemiro was not. Their high pressure suffocated both Barcelona and Sevilla, whilst their dominance and good play was extraordinary.

Three central defenders and wing-backs

-3

It's evident that the wing-backs, especially Marcelo, are becoming a headache for the French coach. He could strengthen his back line with three central defenders, leaving more freedom for Dani Carvajal and the Brazilian to attack. It's an experiment that was already tested last season, with Nacho, Raphael Varane, Sergio Ramos and Casemiro all being familiar with that system.

Recover BBC

-4

Karim Benzema is back and, despite his sluggish performance after returning from injury, it seems difficult to imagine Zidane keeping him on the bench. Will BBC return? A BBC that was lethal in front of goal? It has been so long since the three players have played together, and their individual contributions have been so poor, that thinking about their reunion on the pitch doesn't excite Real Madrid anymore. But perhaps the solution is the simplest. Go back to what worked. Believe in what will work again.

4-2-3-1 and playing with extremely wide wingers

-5

Lucas Vazquez is one of the few Madrid footballers who is performing well and meeting the high expectations. He and Gareth Bale would give depth to a Real side who are in desperate need of it. And with Cristiano Ronaldo as a false nine, maybe the Portuguese striker can find his goalscoring form again and return to his stunning numbers.
