How to make it in Finland

Continuing the theme of food

If one can still argue about the taste of licorice, then the fact that in Finland there are very tasty dairy products and cheeses, everyone agrees almost unanimously.

Milk and dairy products in Finland are in great demand among the local population, apparently, that is why their range is so wide and varied. Many Russians like these products too, they are willingly bought and brought with them to Russia. Part of the Finnish dairy products is not similar to the one that can be found in domestic stores, although there are also dairy and dairy products we are used to. On the shelves you can find products with different lactose content. This is especially important for people suffering from intolerance to this component. They do not have to completely abandon the healthy and tasty dairy products, simply select the package labeled Laktoositon (without lactose) or Hylä (low lactose content). These inscriptions are found not only on packs of milk, but also on other products: yogurt, cheese, cream, cottage cheese, etc.

And this is just one example! Thanks to this diversity, everyone can find something for themselves.

Finally, a small life hack for those who, like me, are used to the fact that they write the content of milk fat in packages (I honestly googled it): you can be guided by the color of the packaging:

• Blue pack. Usually you can also find the word rasvaton on it, which means “fat-free” - the product contained in it will have a fat content close to 0%, most often it is 0.1%;

• Blue pack. It is often accompanied by the word kevyt (i.e. “light”), which indicates a product with a fat content of 1–1.5%;

• Red pack. Such a product according to Finnish standards falls under the category of "fat", and by the standards of most Russians under the category of "ordinary", its fat content is about 3.5%.

It's my pleasure ;)
